This host is incredibly dishonest and will lie to gain extra money on the back end. I filled up the car before driving back to the drop off location, but lied and said it wasn't full. As well as trying to claim almost $140 for a missing pop on hub cap that was already. I'm angry with myself for continuing with this car after it smelled sickingly strong of Cigarette Smoke. I had to spray it down so many times with lysol disinfectant spray just so I could drive and stink when going to work. He should feel ashamed of walking around this world and using us Renters to sneakily rob, but I'm sure he will make some sorry excuse as to why he should be able to get away with it. If you as the Renter decide to move forward with this host, heed the warning and take as many pictures as you can. Gas line both picking up and dropping off. As well as every picture you can think of when picking up and dropping off. Do NOT TRUST the pictures they have already taken and posted. ONLY POST your own pictures. I have only heard horror stories about bad host, but this was my turn. Sad part is I was still willing to leave a 4 star review to be kind, while letting him know quietly what needed to be improved. But my conscience works and I will not lie for such low morality.
Ashley, I’m disappointed to read this. What seemed a minor issue—missing hubcap and low fuel—turned into quite the retaliation. Pre/post-trip photos exist to support your claims, but you didn't take any. GPS records also show 2 days and 65 miles driven between your “fill up before drop off” leaving the next guest with less than the full tank you received. Turo reviewed my evidence, found your claims inaccurate, and honored the reimbursements. Honesty really is the best practice. Warmest regards.
