This rental started out fine, but I unfortunately had a serious issue with the vehicle access. The host does not provide a key or Tesla app access and instead requires you to use a third-party app to unlock and start the car. When I parked in a parking garage in Tucson, there was no cellular service, so I was completely unable to unlock or start the vehicle.
I contacted the host but they were unable to resolve the issue and would not provide Tesla app access. I ended up being stranded for several hours and eventually had to call Turo roadside assistance and pay $215.52 for a tow truck.
To be fair, the car itself was in good condition, but relying on an app that requires cellular service can create serious problems in places like parking garages. I would strongly recommend future guests be aware of this before booking.
