The car would not unlock when we went to pick it up. After a wait of about twenty minutes, it opened. The car was an SUV, and the rear door latch was broken. The passenger side mirror on the door was missing a part. One of the hubcaps was missing. The interior was filthy. Among other disgusting things, the steering wheel felt sticky to the touch and something that resembled peanut butter or chocolate or who knows what was on it. There was a condom package in the sunglass compartment in the overhead. I messaged the owner about all these problems. Hailey, an employee of the owner, was nice and did her best to get us a replacement vehicle, but she could not offer us a car that would be big enough for us. In response to my reporting these issues, the owner, Joel, messaged me telling me "Next time book one of our 2026 models...", implying this whole experience was my fault for booking an older vehicle. When I book a car that costs over $100 a day I expect a clean vehicle that is functional.
