I rented because I was on a business trip and when we got the car the entire side panel was completely fallen off. Upon telling the host this I was told that it was from the previous renter. I didn’t rent the car for it to be in that condition when I was with clients on this trip after a 12 hour international flight. The host came out to try and fix it but it fell off no more than a day later. I was told to contact Turo support to get any sort of discount as this is not the quality in which I rented the car. The host tried scheduling tesla to come fix it during my time on the trip, which being here for business was not possible, but I gave a window that I could do, and never got a response from the host after that. It was an unbelievably disappointing and stressful experience especially with the host, and support not getting back to me upon reporting it twice. I am reluctant not only to use this service again but would be for booking. The host didn’t check the car in between renters clearly as this was a VERY obvious problem with the car that should have been solved before someone got the vehicle.
Unfortunately in 5 years of being on Turo I have never dealt with a renter quite as hostile and aggressive. I did everything I could to correct the damage both myself (45 min temporary fix until Tesla service appt) and scheduling Tesla service. The guest refused to cooperate in having Tesla service the vehicle after being informed that they could service the service the vehicle without her having to do anything or present. This is my first non 5 star review and my first 1 star review of a guest
