Car ran great, no issues. Great gas mileage. Easy drop off and pick up. Host very responsive. Have rented from host multiple times and will rent from again.
Great car. Runs great. Clean. Good breaks. Good communication. Good speakers. Takes a lot of gas lol but it’s cool. I’ll be back.

Great communication!!! Fun car!!! Best renter in Knoxville!! Can't wait to rent again with his other cars

Great experience for the first time with Turo! Drew showed great hospitality, not only with the car, but in giving us hiking/food/etc recommendations.

Great car. Drove amazing. Super clean and great communication with the host!!!
Thank you needed a car and it drives nice and you weren't trying to rape me with price everyone wanted lots of money for two days *

Everything was great! The car is in excellent condition, the pick up address was easy to find and the host was super nice!

The pick up location is convenient. The car is in good shape for its age. Expected fading in seats but clean. Can’t use the trunk because there’s a bumper in it. The paint job on the bumper wasn’t sealed properly, so it bubbles and peels. (That’s why the light for repair keeps flashing. It’s a superficial issue - nothing integral to the operation of the vehicle.

Had some issues with the car, and the host switched me with no problems! Extremely attentive and responsive. Will continue booking with this host!

I had a great experience renting this car. The vehicle was very clean, drove smoothly, and had no issues at all during my trip. Drew was extremely nice, helpful, and had very fast responses anytime I had a question. Everything was easy and stress-free from start to finish. I would definitely rent again and highly recommend!

10/10 Car gets 45 MPG. Amazing ride. Host 10/10. You will have to pick up and drop off at a public place just fyi. Will rent again.
The car was amazing during our trip for the week , we drove it to a couple different cities and was very reliable and good on gas. Pick up and drop off was very simple and easy , 10/10 experience.

Who is monthly car rental in Knoxville for?
Just relocated to Knoxville
You've accepted a position at UT, landed a contract at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, or transferred to a corporate office in West Knoxville — and you're still learning which neighborhoods, commute routes, and grocery stores work for you. A monthly rental gives you reliable transportation from day one without rushing into a car purchase before you know the area. Drive what you need now and decide what to buy later.
Lease just ended — or just sold your car
Your old lease expired, you sold your car, or you're between vehicles and don't want the pressure of making a snap decision at a dealership. A long-term car rental in Knoxville bridges the gap on your schedule. Take a month, take three — extend or cancel as your plans evolve, with no penalty for changing your mind.
Extended work assignment or traveling professional
Oak Ridge National Laboratory contractors, TVA project staff, Covenant Health traveling nurses, and visiting researchers at UT regularly arrive in Knoxville for assignments ranging from 10 weeks to six months. An extended car rental in Knoxville through Turo is far more affordable than stacking short-term weekly rentals — and you get to pick the exact car that fits your daily commute.
Post-college or first car
You just graduated from UT, your credit history is thin, and your budget is tight. Buying a car means a loan you may not qualify for and payments you'd rather avoid while you're figuring out your next step. Renting a car for a month in Knoxville lets you stay mobile without the financial weight of ownership — an alternative to car ownership that requires no credit check, no down payment, and no depreciation eating into money you don't have yet.
If you're flying into Knoxville for an extended stay — a new contract at Oak Ridge, a traveling nurse assignment, or a corporate relocation — you can find monthly rentals available near TYS. McGhee Tyson Airport sits about 12 miles south of downtown in Alcoa, making it a convenient starting point for picking up a car and getting settled in the area.
West Knoxville and the Turkey Creek corridor are the suburban heart of the city's commuter belt. If your work takes you to Oak Ridge, Farragut, or the corporate offices along the I-40/I-75 corridor, picking up a monthly rental in this area keeps your daily drive short. It's a practical home base for anyone who needs reliable daily transportation without the overhead of car ownership.
Downtown Knoxville and the UT campus area attract students, recent graduates, and young professionals navigating life transitions. Market Square, the Old City, and Fort Sanders are walkable, but commuting beyond the core — or running errands across town — calls for a car. A monthly rental picked up nearby keeps you mobile without the hassle of restricted campus parking or the cost of a long-term garage permit.

Knoxville is an easy city to drive, with currently no toll roads and a straightforward interstate layout. Here's what to know before booking your monthly rental.
Use Turo's duration filter to find cars with monthly availability, and look for listings offering 30-day or longer discounts — that's where you'll find the deepest savings. Browsing by price range helps narrow results fast, and booking a few weeks in advance gives you the widest selection of affordable options in Knoxville.
Think about your daily routine. A fuel-efficient sedan or compact SUV handles I-40 commuting and weekend errands without draining your budget. Prioritize comfort and cargo space over flash — reliable everyday cars from Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai tend to offer the best value for monthly renters.
Tennessee's hands-free phone law means no holding your phone while driving. I-40 and I-75 are the main commuting corridors, and the interchange where they meet near downtown — locally called Malfunction Junction — gets congested during rush hours. There are currently no toll roads in East Tennessee.
Downtown garages at Market Square, State Street, and Locust Street are often free on evenings and weekends, but expect paid hourly rates during weekday business hours. Near the UT campus, parking is restricted on weekdays with residential permit zones in effect. Budget for a monthly garage pass if you're commuting downtown regularly.
Good news for monthly renters: there are currently no toll roads in Knoxville or anywhere in East Tennessee. Your driving costs stay straightforward — fuel, parking, and nothing else. One less thing to think about when you're budgeting for the month.
Gas stations are widely available on every major corridor. If you book an electric vehicle, Knoxville has 43 Level 2 EV charging ports spread across 15 city-managed sites, plus DC fast chargers at the Flying J Travel Center on Watt Road and the Walmart Supercenter on Walbrook Drive.
Expect a wide selection of practical, everyday vehicles — sedans, compact SUV rentals in Knoxville, and hatchbacks from makes like Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia. These are the cars that make sense for daily commuting on I-40, grocery runs, and weekend errands. Filter by price to find the listing that fits your monthly budget.
Whether you want to rent a car for a month in Knoxville or stay for several months, rentals on Turo get cheaper the longer you book. Trips of 30 days or more unlock the deepest discounts, and many listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. About 60% of available monthly supply in Knoxville is priced under $800 per month, with a median around $1,300 per month. You'll see the total price before you book — no hidden fees, no surprise charges at the end.
No. Turo doesn't require a credit check to book a car in Knoxville. You'll need a valid driver's license and to meet Turo's standard eligibility requirements, but there's no credit pull involved — making it accessible even if your credit history is limited or still building.
Yes. If you need the car beyond your original booking in Knoxville, you can request a trip extension through the Turo app. The host reviews and approves extension requests, and you'll continue to benefit from discounted long-term pricing.
If you'd like to switch vehicles during your monthly rental in Knoxville, you can end your current trip and book a different car. This flexibility means you're never locked into a vehicle that doesn't fit your evolving needs.
You'll need a valid driver's license to book a car on Turo in Knoxville. International guests may also need a passport and international driving permit. Everything is verified digitally through the Turo app — no paperwork at a rental counter.
A valid, unexpired driver's license is required to rent a car on Turo in Knoxville. If you hold an international license, you may also need an international driving permit depending on your country of origin.
Turo offers multiple protection plans that you can select when you book your car in Knoxville. Each plan provides varying levels of coverage, and you can choose the option that best fits your comfort level and budget.

Only approved drivers may operate a car booked through Turo in Knoxville. You can add an additional driver through the Turo app during your trip. All drivers must meet Turo's eligibility requirements.
For stays of one to three months, a monthly rental on Turo typically costs less than leasing when you factor in the full picture — down payment, monthly payment, maintenance, and depreciation. With Turo, you see the total price upfront, pay month to month, and walk away when you're done. No loan paperwork, no residual-value surprises, and no sunk costs if your plans change after 60 days.
