While the booking process and communication prior to pickup were great, unfortunately, that was the best part of my experience.
When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the host had not provided any instructions regarding where the keys would be located. I happened to open the vehicle, pressed the start button, and realized the keys had simply been left inside the center console.
The cleanliness of the vehicle was also disappointing. The trunk was dirty enough that I had to vacuum it myself before I felt comfortable placing my luggage inside. The seats were visibly dirty and are definitely in need of a thorough shampoo and deep cleaning.
Additionally, I had to message the host multiple times just to get the trip started in the Turo app, which added unnecessary frustration to the pickup process.
Overall, the initial booking and pre-trip communication were positive, but the pickup process, lack of instructions, vehicle cleanliness, and difficulty getting the trip started did not meet my expectations for a Turo rental.
