The host Michael was good to work with and I'd rate him as 5 start. He answered any questions we had and was fast to respond. The car we rented was older which isn't a problem I drive older cars all the time. The issue we had was the week we were in Kauai it rained almost everyday. The car was leaking water in behind the driver and passengers seat. The floor was soaked (had standing water on the floor) and smelled pretty bad. We reported it issue right away to Michael so hopefully he got it fixed for the next people to use. If we hadn't had so much rain we would not have known about the issue and would have rated the car higher. Here's a few helpful tips if you rent this car. The headlights don't ding or go off automatically. Since we had so much rain I would turn the headlights on when driving but a few times I forgot to turn off and thankfully remember about 10 - 15 minutes later and would run out and turn them off. The other thing to note is the back window is not tinted. So if you have stuff in the back hatch it is visible to others. There is a colorful curtain in the back to cover your stuff up but if it was just plain black it would be less obvious that you have items in the back hatch. Again the only reason I'm rating this car as a 3 is because of the water leak and horrible smell from the leak. If Michael gets this fixed then it's a fine little car to get you around the island.

During that time the streets had significant flooding and water did get into the back seat footwell area. Upon inspection I found that the rubber drainage plugs were not sealing properly allowing water to get into the vehicle.
All the plugs under the car were resealed and the wet carpet was removed from the vehicle.
The carpet was replaced with HD rubber mat.
Water can no longer enter the vehicle.
The bad, wet carpet smell is gone.
No smoking allowed
