This was my first car rental let alone through Turo.
I was liking the experience until I got a flat on during my one week solo road trip.
The car was clean and pleasant, has EZPass. I loved pick up/drop off process and appreciated 30 mins grace period for drop off (I slept in on the day of return, so definitely thankful). For positives I would also note that the renter responds quickly.
However, when mechanic looked at all tires, he concluded this vehicle is not suitable for long travel due to the condition of the tires (mechanic attributed to sun/heat damage). I changed front left so 2 unsafe tires remain (both rear, front right is fine).. beware next customer :)
Tbh I didn’t know how to assess safety of the vehicle when committed to this one, but if I had a redo, I would have not rented.
All and all, 4 stars for convenience and opportunity to learn how to change to a spare by myself :) but really, could have gotten into a life ruining accident with how safety issues are overlooked.

I find it interesting that not a word of such a traumatic ordeal was communicated to us at any point during your trip, only reached out at the end of trip for being late. We noticed the car still has the same tire on it but I'm more interested to know what is a sun/heat damage on all seasons tires?
You know what, if you came to my shop for a tire patch, I'd sell you an engine too...
