The car itself was great. It’s good on gas and reliable. The host also communicated well leading up to and at the beginning of the trip. Pickup and drop off was very smooth. Unfortunately, my experience after the rental was completely different. The host made a damage claim basically asking for pre-existing damages to be paid for. The vehicle was not in flawless condition when received. In this situation, we never came to a thorough or fair resolution.
Overall, I just expected better communication and a more reasonable approach to resolving concerns. This situation could have been handled more fairly through an open discussion before additional damages were automatically assumed to be my responsibility. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression, and I would be cautious before renting from this host.
