It's been a busy year at Turo, and thanks to you, our community of hosts, we’ve never been stronger. We're seeing growing demand, and we're investing in new ways to make the experience better for both guests and hosts. I’m thrilled about the momentum we’re seeing across the marketplace and what’s ahead.
In Q2 2026, trip days grew 19% year-over-year globally. Turo hosts earned 23% more than they did last year, making it your best quarter ever.

That growth gives us room to keep investing in the things that can make the biggest difference for hosts: bringing more profitable demand for you, including from travelers booking longer trips and further ahead; making hosting simpler; and creating more ways for you to build your business.
As we build for the next phase of hosting, we also need to make changes that strengthen the marketplace for the long term. One of those changes is how delivery fees and Extras are calculated.
COMING IN OCTOBER
Starting October 8, delivery fees and Extras (like car seats and prepaid refuel) will use the same take rate as your earnings plan. Hosts on the More Earnings plan will see no change. Hosts on the More Peace of Mind and Balanced plans will see their take rate adjust to match their plan. In markets with variable take rates, the applicable rate will vary based on trip lead time.
The change applies to new trips booked on or after October 8. Existing trips and extensions aren't affected.
Beyond this change, we’re investing in ways to help you grow your business and make hosting easier, including new opportunities to reach guests through Turo Delivered, expanded discovery through Muse, and new tools that reduce operational work.
COMING IN NOVEMBER

We're creating more opportunities for hosts to earn with delivery.
Today, custom delivery is set up with one fixed radius and price. With Turo Delivered, you'll be able to create multiple delivery zones and set pricing based on distance, giving you more flexibility to offer delivery across your market.
For guests, that means they can find vehicles that can be delivered to where they actually want their trip to begin, whether that's a hotel, home, airport, or train station. For hosts, it creates an opportunity to reach guests beyond their existing delivery area and capture additional delivery demand.
You decide where to offer delivery and what to charge, so you can expand your reach into the areas that make sense for your business.

Skift, a leading travel industry publication, recently explored how Turo Delivered gives hosts more control over where they offer delivery while helping travelers find cars earlier in the trip-planning process.

We’re partnering with Meta to bring Turo to Muse, Meta’s new personal AI agent. Soon, guests will be able to ask Muse to find a car for their trip, discover Turo vehicles that fit what they’re looking for, and book directly through Muse.
This gives guests another way to discover Turo when they’re planning a trip, creating more opportunities for you to reach potential guests.
COMING LATER THIS YEAR
When a vehicle is damaged, getting it repaired can be a frustrating and costly part of hosting. The Direct Repair Program (DRP) connects hosts who file a damage claim with participating repair shops in Turo’s trusted network.
With DRP, you can find a participating shop to handle eligible repairs, and once you’ve met your out-of-pocket responsibility, Turo pays the shop directly, so you don’t have to pay upfront and wait to be reimbursed. Participating shops prioritize Turo hosts for estimates and repairs, helping you get your vehicle back on the road faster with less back-and-forth on estimates and repair costs.
COMING LATER THIS YEAR
Taking check-in and check-out photos is one of the most important ways to protect yourself as a host, but it can also be one of the most time-consuming parts of every trip. We're rebuilding the Turo Camera from the ground up to make documenting every trip faster, easier, and more reliable.
The upgraded camera will be easily accessible from an app shortcut, widgets, and the Trips tab, so you can get to it in one or two taps. Photos will include verified trip-level data, including the time, location, and trip they're tied to, making it easier to support a damage claim if one occurs.
We're also building offline capture, so photos can save reliably even when you're in areas with poor service.
COMING LATER THIS YEAR
Today, hosts have to manually check a guest's license at check-in, including their name, date of birth, and expiration date.
Later this year, guests will be able to scan their license and complete a selfie at check-in. The images and information will be compared and confirmed automatically. This will reduce what hosts need to check themselves at handoff while adding another layer of confirmation of the guest’s driver’s license and information.
There’s a lot more ahead, and I’m excited about the momentum we’re building together. Thank you for everything you do to make great trips possible for guests and for being a part of Turo.
