I rented the vehicle through Turo expecting it to be delivered in clean and acceptable condition. However, upon receiving the vehicle, there was a very strong smoke odor throughout the interior that was immediately noticeable. The smell was embedded in the seats, carpet, and overall cabin area, making the vehicle uncomfortable to drive and ride in.
The odor was so overwhelming that it affected the overall quality of my rental experience and did not meet reasonable cleanliness standards for a rental vehicle. Despite attempts to air the vehicle out, the smoke smell remained persistent during my use of the car. This caused discomfort for both myself and my passengers and negatively impacted the trip experience.
I only drove the vehicle a few miles on the day I received it. The following day, Tuesday, I did not drive the vehicle at all because of the strong smoke odor. The vehicle remained parked in my yard the entire day, which ultimately led to my decision to return it early.
I am submitting this statement as part of my claim request because the condition of the vehicle was not as represented and significantly reduced the value and enjoyment of the rental. I respectfully request appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and condition of the vehicle during my rental period.
