The host was good and communication was smooth. Overall, the car was okay and got us where we needed to go, but it definitely felt more worn than expected. It’s a 2022, so I was a little surprised that it already had close to 100k miles. You could feel the mileage in the way it drove.
The brakes weren’t the strongest, and the doors were very heavy and would shut hard if you weren’t careful. It also sits quite low to the ground, so you have to be mindful with driveways and dips.Apple CarPlay was also a bit tricky and didn’t always connect, which was frustrating and inconvenient during the trip.
The mileage limit was around 1600 miles, which can be easy to reach during a month in California. I’ve had other Turo rentals with unlimited mileage, so that felt a bit limiting.
Drop-off was only at LAX, so there wasn’t much flexibility with return locations.
