The car itself was comfortable and drove fine. Unfortunately, 45 minutes prior to picking up the car. I was informed that the rollback convertible roof did not work. The profile photo of the car shows the roof all the way back, so I was somewhat miffed that none of this was noted in the car description and that it only came to my attention just before picking up the car with no ability to cancel.
The owner offered me different options, including driving to him or renting one of his other’s cars, but none of this was practical, considering the distance I’d have to drive to him. If you want to have the top down, I recommend you speak with the owner before booking. While the owner was apologetic and offered options (albeit impractical ones) the roof issue was an inconvenience.
Also, when unlocking the car, the alarm goes off, and I was only able to stop it by getting in the car and turning the car on. The locking and unlocking mechanism on the key fob does not work.

This is false information. I didn't ask you to drive to me, I asked you if you wanted me to drive to you to help you remove the convertible top of the vehicle. Please double check the messages thoroughly. You clearly understood what I asked as you replied that you were in Mar Vista, not sure what the purpose of providing that false statement in the rating is, and neither is the other fact about the listing description when I even showed a screenshot from a. search proving hosts can change them?
Oddest experience I’ve ever had. Didn’t let us know there were multiple issues with the car until 3 hours before picking it up. Convertible didn’t work, trunk didn’t work, and key fob didn’t work so to lock the car we had to manually and the alarm went off anytime we unlocked it. Asked us to wash it before turning it in?? Was twenty minutes late dropping the car off after we arrived at the airport.
