It was our first experience using TURO. We rented a vehicle for a trip between Los Angeles and the Grand Canyon. The vehicle broke down about one hour from our destination.
We immediately contacted your support service at 5:07 p.m. We were connected to an agent whose communication was difficult, and despite a 27-minute exchange, no concrete solution was provided.
A tow truck arrived about an hour later, but remained on site for nearly 1.5 hours awaiting instructions from you regarding the handling of the vehicle and passengers. As no instructions were provided, the tow operator left without a solution, leaving us alone on the roadside.
We were then contacted again at 7:58 p.m., without any repatriation solution being offered, the only instruction being to wait. We were in an isolated area at nightfall, with nearly depleted phones and no safe alternative.
Given the complete lack of effective assistance, we were forced to hitchhike for about 1.5 hours to reach our hotel, under difficult and potentially dangerous conditions. We arrived at 9:30 p.m. without a vehicle and without any solution offered by your services.
Regardless of the technical cause of the breakdown (battery or otherwise), the main issue remains the complete lack of assistance and support in a situation of immobilization in an isolated area, which engages your responsibility as a rental platform.
As a result, we maintain our request:
full refund of the rental,
coverage of all costs and damages incurred,
as well as compensation for moral damages and the endangerment situation.
We remind you that the obligation of assistance and user safety cannot be dismissed based solely on the technical classification of the breakdown.
In the absence of a prompt response and a satisfactory amicable resolution, we reserve the right to initiate any appropriate proceedings, including legal action, in order to obtain compensation for all damages suffered.
We look forward to a prompt response and a serious and complete handling of this case.

Amazing Owners! Dope and easy instructions they were so kind! someone had even hit and scraped the car a little bit and they even gave me easy instructions to file a report that someone scratched the car! They made the trip so smooth and easy!!! They even include a free car wash as well! Close by the airport as well! Perfect location! Thank you guys again would def book again and highly recommend!
