My check-in experience started off great. The host provided clear instructions, and the vehicle was clean and appeared to be in good condition. Unfortunately, that positive experience didn’t last.
Just one day into my rental, I experienced a flat tire. I immediately contacted the host for assistance, but instead of showing concern or offering help, they became aggressive and immediately tried to imply that I was responsible for damaging the tire. Their communication was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy.
To make matters worse, I had paid extra for roadside assistance through Turo, yet I was left waiting approximately five hours for a tow truck. During that time, the host showed no concern for my safety or well-being.
After having the tire inspected at a tire shop, I learned that the tire had already been patched two to three times before my rental. The technician indicated that the tire’s condition was likely the reason it failed, not anything I had done while driving. I am now in the process of seeking reimbursement for the repair.
I was also disappointed to discover that the vehicle was not properly equipped for an emergency. There was no spare tire, and the tire maintenance kit provided in the vehicle contained nothing that could actually assist in the event of a flat tire.
While the vehicle itself was clean at pickup, the way this situation was handled completely changed my opinion of this rental. I cannot recommend renting from this host due to their poor customer service, lack of professionalism, lack of empathy, and unwillingness to provide support when an unexpected issue arose. Renters deserve to feel safe, respected, and supported during their trip, and unfortunately, that was not my experience.
We would like to clarify when you rented this car it had a good brand new tires and during the trip you drove the car not safely on roads. Tire and wheel sustained siginificant damage that consistent with a strong road impact, such as hitting pothole or another road hazard.
The original good brand new tire was changed with the cheapest low cost used tire without our authorization. And then you call us and tell that to come over there the accident area to change the tire for you. No acceptable
