This vehicle was my backup rental after my original Turo reservation was canceled less than 24 hours before my trip. As a result, I had to spend nearly $200 more than originally planned to ensure I had transportation for my family.
The vehicle itself drove well, but it arrived with noticeable interior and exterior damage. There were cigarette burn holes in the seats that appeared to be covered by seat covers, and there was a lingering smoke odor upon pickup.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. During a long road trip with two young children, the A/C worked intermittently and at times stopped working altogether. This made portions of our trip very uncomfortable and caused significant inconvenience.
I informed the host of the issue, but no reimbursement or resolution was offered as of now.. While I appreciate having a vehicle available after my previous reservation was canceled, the condition of the vehicle and the A/C problems negatively impacted our overall experience.

Stephen was great, he was very kind and responsive. Pickup and drop off were very easy. The vehicle was disappointing. The inside smelled like it had been heavily smoked in and then tried to cover up with something strong. I did not like the smell. The Elantra is not a very comfortable car, but thankfully we didn’t have to go far. Would rent from Stephen again, but would not rent the Elantra again.

Unfortunately, the guest before you had the car for several weeks and did not follow the no smoking rules. Before your trip, I put an ozone machine in the car and used an odor bomb to try to remove the smell, but I am truly sorry that it did not get it all out. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention, and I will continue working on it
