Burlington offers stunning Pacific Northwest scenery with the Cascade Mountains rising dramatically to the east and Puget Sound's waters stretching westward. You'll discover charming downtown streets, nearby hiking trails, and easy access to both Seattle's urban attractions and the San Juan Islands' natural beauty. A rental car gives you the freedom to explore Burlington's outdoor recreation areas, from Skagit Valley's tulip fields to Mount Baker's alpine wilderness. You can venture to local farmers markets, visit nearby state parks, and take scenic drives through Washington's diverse landscapes at your own pace.

Natasha was a great host, as she was always quick to respond and very understanding! The 1 downfall was that the mirror on the passenger side of the car wasn't stationary so it made it difficult for me to see behind me, along that side. I of course just turned my head to look behind, in order to cross lanes so I was able to make do, and I informed Natasha of this so I'm sure it'll get fixed. Cute little car and although it's small, I was able to fit quite a bit in there! Not to mention, it's really good on gas! Thanks for allowing me to rent your car! ☺️

It’s a cute little car and it does get you places. The Host was understanding about my situation and I like her Hospitality too.
Amazing!! Super convenient and super friendly- definitely recommend for a cute little weekend car!

Very responsive, very clean and very affordable. The vehicle was surprisingly roomy! Very reliable. We had no issues and it was AMAZING with gas. I already have my next rental set up! Great host! Thank you!
The car was great and the gas mileage Even better. Natasha was easy to communicate with and friendly
It was my first time using Turo, I used this car to make some small business trips around Bellingham and it was perfect! Natasha was so kind! Would definitely book this car again.
Burlington provides access to some of Washington's most spectacular attractions, from the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival to the pristine waters of Puget Sound. You can explore Cascade Mall for shopping, visit local farms and markets, or head to nearby state parks for hiking and wildlife viewing. Having a rental car allows you to easily reach Mount Vernon's historic downtown, drive scenic Highway 20 toward the North Cascades, or venture to Deception Pass Bridge for breathtaking views.
The Skagit Valley transforms into a colorful wonderland each spring when millions of tulips bloom across local farms. You'll find ample parking at most participating farms, and the rural roads offer scenic drives between different flower fields. The festival grounds are easily accessible from Burlington's main streets, making it convenient to visit multiple farms in a single day.
This stunning state park features the iconic Deception Pass Bridge spanning dramatic waters between Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. You can park near the bridge for spectacular photo opportunities or use the main park entrance to access hiking trails and beaches. The park offers multiple parking areas, and the drive there takes you through beautiful Pacific Northwest forest landscapes.
Cascade Mall serves as Burlington's primary shopping destination with major retailers and dining options all under one roof. You'll find extensive parking facilities, and the mall's location makes it easy to combine shopping with visits to nearby restaurants and entertainment venues. The surrounding area features additional shopping centers and services, all easily accessible by car.
You can reach Burlington by flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, then driving north via Interstate 5 for a scenic journey through western Washington. Amtrak provides train service to nearby Mount Vernon station, where you can arrange ground transportation to Burlington. By car, Burlington sits conveniently along Interstate 5, making it easily accessible from major Pacific Northwest cities and providing straightforward access to both urban and wilderness destinations.
Book your rental car early on Turo to secure the best options for exploring Washington's diverse terrain, from city streets to mountain roads. Consider choosing a car with all-wheel drive if you plan to venture into the Cascades, or look for cars with bike racks if you want to explore local cycling trails. Features like heated seats prove valuable during Washington's cooler months, while Apple CarPlay or Android Auto help with navigation through the region's winding scenic routes.

Car rental gives you convenient access to explore the Pacific Northwest at your own pace.
Gas stations are readily available throughout Burlington, with several locations along major routes like Interstate 5 and Highway 20. You'll find fuel stops near shopping centers and throughout the main commercial areas along Burlington Boulevard and Cascade Mall Drive. Popular stations include options near major intersections and along routes heading toward Mount Vernon and the North Cascades.

A standard car or SUV works well for Burlington's mix of city streets and rural Washington roads. During winter months, an SUV with all-wheel drive provides better traction on mountain roads leading to ski areas and Cascade destinations. Compact cars are ideal for navigating Burlington's commercial areas and finding parking near popular shopping and dining locations.
Highway 20 east from Burlington leads into the spectacular North Cascades, passing through charming mountain towns and offering alpine views. The Chuckanut Drive follows the coastline south toward Bellingham, providing stunning water vistas and access to scenic overlooks. Interstate 5 north takes you toward the San Juan Islands ferry terminals, while routes east offer beautiful Cascade Mountain scenery.
Check weather conditions before departing Burlington, especially during winter when mountain roads can be challenging. Keep your gas tank full as rural Washington areas have fewer fuel stations between towns. Plan your route in advance and inform someone of your travel plans when exploring Washington's more remote mountain regions from Burlington.
