I am giving this a 1-star rating because this was by far the dirtiest and most damaged vehicle I have ever rented through Turo, and I have been renting through Turo for many years.
The vehicle was pulled up to us at SeaTac after we arrived from a long flight, so we did not have a real chance to fully inspect it at the airport. We were told pictures had already been taken for us. By the time we got to the hotel and had a chance to really look it over, we realized how filthy and damaged the vehicle actually was.
The car looked like it had been used as an off-road vehicle. Every wheel was extensively curbed, there was damage and scratches all over the exterior, the outside was very dirty, and the interior was also dirty. There was dirt and food/debris around the steering wheel area, and the windows had dirty handprints.
For a 2023 vehicle, the condition was honestly shocking. I use Turo often, including for work and client-related travel, and this vehicle was embarrassing to drive. It was not at all what was represented or what I expect from a Turo rental.
Because of the condition of the vehicle, I had to return it the same day. That created a major inconvenience because I had already picked it up, driven away from the airport, gotten to my hotel, and then had to turn around and coordinate returning it back to the airport and finding another vehicle from someone else. I barely had the vehicle before having to return it.
I do not understand how a vehicle this dirty, damaged, and poorly maintained was allowed to remain in inventory. I do not recommend this rental, and I am expecting a full refund. I am also prepared to dispute the charge with merchant if needed because this vehicle was not as represented.
