Excellent host!

Honestly, the easiest host you can find - clear communication, no issues. We booked for a month originally, ended up flexing that to three. Would gladly book again

Car was great! No issues. Pickup and return was smooth and easy. Highly recommend!

Francis •
Needed a bit tidying up up when I picked up. Other than that everything is great!

Apologies in advance for the length of this review….The car itself was fine and there was unlimited charging which was great. However, the pickup location was not ideal. Only the zip code was given in the description but I didn’t map the distance from the airport to the zip code (my bad). We only got the full address when the reservation began. I also did not expect it to be 25 miles away in the driveway of the host’s home. Our flight arrived at 11:30pm, which we confirmed was correct upon the host’s inquiry. They suggested we wait until morning, but we needed the car that night. They said the key card would be in the console and door would be unlocked. Once in the Uber, I texted that we were on the way. When we arrived the car was locked! I texted several times through the app. No reply. Then called and left a message. No answer or reply. Finally I rang the doorbell because we were in the rain, standing in front of their home in the middle and night (quite uncomfortable). They finally replied through the app that the door was unlocked. I informed them that it was not, at which time they unlocked it remotely. We reserved the car for (late) Friday night until 4:30 pm Monday. We attempted to connect our phones to Bluetooth to be hands free and to not skew the hosts Spotify playlists. We discovered we could not connect either of our phones to Bluetooth. So we went ahead and chose a playlist from Spotify just to have something to listen to and found that many songs were blocked (realized it was Explicit songs that were blocked) Okay, understandable if you have children, etc. Next we discovered the volume was limited and would only go up so far! On Sunday we had plans and decided to get coffee and food to eat on the way. As soon as we got in the car and began eating, I received a text giving a “Gentle reminder” to keep the car clean and tidy. A second text informed us there was a car wash pass on the rearview mirror to get a free car wash before we brought it back. (The ad for the car specifically said the car did not have to be washed upon return) We still had a day and a half left with the car and how did they even know we were eating at that moment?! Were they watching us? From then on, we were so uncomfortable and felt we were being watched. On the final day we brought the car back a little early because we had to factor in the 25 miles to the airport and coordinate the Uber to pick us up so we wouldn’t be lingering around in a strange neighborhood for too long. Once in the Uber I notified the host the car had been dropped off. The host replied something like “we could go because she wasn’t going to come out and inspect the car in the rain.” What? I’ve rented a Tesla through Turo before and it was a great experience. Particularly for the experience of renting a car you are familiar with as we both own Teslas. This experience was not so great. Takeaways for me would be to either pay extra to pick the car up at the airport (we ended up spending a ton of money on Ubers to pickup and return the car anyway) and/or verify how far away the pickup location is and also confirm that is not in the driveway of the host’s home!
