Luxurious, high-tech interior

The Cybertruck is a workhorse, but that doesn't mean it's sacrificed interior comfort. In fact, it goes above and beyond. Spacious and filled out with futuristic cutting-edge technology (like dual touchscreen, autopilot, and adaptive suspension), you're in for a ride that keeps your crew entertained and pampered.

Unmatched utility

With a 2,500-pound payload and 128 cubic feet of lockable storage for your gear, the Tesla Cybertruck is ready for any adventure. So go ahead and load up for that camping trip or a massive interstate trip from San Francisco to Seattle — overpacking is welcomed.

Drive the future

The Cybertruck's sleek stainless steel exterior, combined with its angular sci-fi design, immediately signals your ride is going to be a special one. The interior blends luxury, advanced technology, and comfort. But don't be fooled by the flair. It's a pickup at heart and performs like one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super hospitable host! Even though we were late for pickup, he went out of his way to make alternate arrangements. Really appreciated the flexibility and kindness 🙌 The car itself is kick-ass!🔥 Spotlessly clean, practically brand new, and drives like a dream. Smooth, powerful, and just an all-around great experience. Would 100% rent from him again. Highly recommended! 🚗💨

These tips will have you cruising like a pro in no time — from opening the doors to stretching every mile of range.

Tesla Cybertruck driving tips

- How to open doors: Press the button near the edge of the door opening. This will pop it out slightly for you to pull open.

- Familiarize yourself with the size: At over 18 feet long, the Cybertruck is a beast. So, give yourself extra space for turns, braking, and parking in tight spots.

- Plan charging stops: To prevent range anxiety, plan out where you're going to charge your Cybertruck along your trip. The Supercharger map on the Tesla website will come in handy. Return the truck with the same charge level you started with — dropping it off below 20% adds a $20 low-battery fee, and any Supercharger costs from your trip get billed back to you.

- Range maximizing tips: Ease off the accelerator pedal gradually instead of pressing the brake pedal to slow down. You can activate Chill Mode as well for more efficient acceleration.

- Master the touchscreen: Familiarize yourself with the 18.5-inch touchscreen — it's your command center for navigation, climate, and more. Customize comfort settings for a smooth ride.

- Maximize the rear lockable storage: Load up the 128 cubic feet of lockable storage wisely — balance weight for optimal handling.

To rent a Cybertruck, Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver's licenses issued outside of the US. No, you don't need personal insurance coverage to rent a Cybertruck on Turo.

In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the local vehicle owner's vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you'll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that's right for you. On each trip, you're covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*

In New York state, you'll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you're covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

Yes, multiple guests can drive the Cybertruck you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the vehicle) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; local vehicle owners can't do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.

To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. You can request to add drivers via the "Trips" tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

  1. * Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.

  2. For questions or information about the third party liability insurance for trips in the US, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host’s vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site. When a trip is booked in the state of Washington, physical damage to the host’s vehicle is covered by insurance purchased by Turo, but the Turo insurance does not change the contractual responsibilities of hosts or guests with respect to physical damage to a host’s vehicle.
