A Subaru Forester SUV rental puts you in a five-seat compact SUV with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and at least 8.7 in of ground clearance. Pick gas power (180 hp) or the hybrid (194 hp combined), and browse every Subaru car rental on Turo to find your match.
On Turo, the car rental marketplace, you book the exact Forester you choose from a local vehicle owner — no "or similar" surprises. Then choose pickup or delivery options that fit your plans.

Every 2027 Forester trim comes with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, plus at least 8.7 in of ground clearance. That pairing gives you steady confidence on snowy mountain highways, rain-soaked city streets, and the long drive to your ski weekend.
Every Forester trim comes with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, so long highway stretches feel calmer from the first mile. Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering helps you manage your speed and lane position on the interstate. On equipped trims, Blind-Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert keeps watch during lane changes and when you back out of tight parking spots.
The payoff? You spend less energy on the driving and more on the trip itself. Think sunrise runs to the ski area or long hauls to see family. Check the listing for the exact trim, so you know which systems your Forester includes before you set out.
Most Forester trims come with an 11.6-in touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Your maps, playlists, and podcasts show up on the big screen without a cord in sight. The base model uses dual 7-in screens instead, so check the listing if screen size matters to you.
On Hybrid and Wilderness trims, a 12.3-in digital gauge cluster puts key driving info right behind the wheel. Upper trims add a wireless charger, so your phone stays topped up without a cable snaking across the console. Your navigation, music, and calls stay within easy reach on every drive — city errand or cross-state haul.
The Forester fits weekend getaways, national park road trips on paved roads, ski weekends, and visits with family. You get room for five, plus 29.6 cu ft of cargo behind the rear seats. Compare it with other SUV rentals on Turo to find the right size for your crew.

The Forester Hybrid makes 194 combined hp, giving you extra pull for highway on-ramps and mountain passes. For 2027, the Sport and Touring trims come only as hybrids, so any 2027 Sport or Touring listing you find runs on hybrid power.
Prefer gas? The 2026 gas Forester returns 26 city / 33 hwy / 29 combined mpg — fewer gas station stops on a long road trip. Check the listing to confirm the powertrain before you book. It's the quickest way to match your Forester to your route, your budget, and your plans.
The base Forester gives you 29.6 cu ft of space behind the rear seats — room for suitcases, coolers, and ski bags. Raised roof rails come on the base trim too, which is handy when the cabin's already full.
On select trims, StarTex water-repellent upholstery shrugs off wet skis, sandy beach gear, and a damp dog after a lakeside stroll. That means you can pack for the trip you actually want and spend less time worrying about the seats. Whether you're heading to the slopes in January or the shore in July, the Forester makes room for the gear that makes the trip.
Upper Forester trims bring a panoramic moonroof, heated front seats, and a 10-way power driver's seat. Open the moonroof on a clear mountain morning, or warm the seats after a cold day on the slopes. Small upgrades make long drives feel shorter.
The comfort doesn't stop at the upper trims. Even the base model includes dual-zone automatic climate control, so you and your front-seat passenger can each set your own temperature. Fewer debates over the thermostat means more attention on the scenery, the playlist, and the next stop on your route.

Start with the listing: check the year, trim, and powertrain (gas or hybrid), plus which screen setup the Forester has. Those details affect your fuel stops and how your phone connects.

A little planning makes your Forester trip easier. Keep these three tips in mind:
Book early for ski season and holiday weekends, so you can lock in the trim and dates you want.
Pack smart by loading the cargo area first and checking the listing before you use the roof rails.
Get comfortable with the EyeSight alerts in a quiet parking lot before you merge onto the highway.
Each local vehicle owner sets the daily price for their Forester, so your cost depends on model year, trip length, location, and extras. You'll see any mandatory fees upfront before you book.
Longer trips can unlock trip-length discounts for three days, one week, two weeks, three weeks, or a month. Book a non-refundable trip four or more days in advance, and you'll save 10%. Need a Forester for a season? Explore long-term car rental on Turo.
