Experience the open-air appeal of a Jeep Wrangler rental

Drive a Jeep Wrangler

With a Jeep rental, you have the freedom to drive wherever you want to go without fixating on the forecast. For its nearly 40-year history, the Jeep Wrangler has been the model of consistency in severe weather conditions like rain, snow, and sleet.

The latest Jeep Wrangler models still have the flared fenders, fold-down windshield, and removable doors that set the vehicle apart from the start. Inside, you'll find modern features like the Uconnect infotainment system and blind-spot monitoring. Book a versatile Jeep Wrangler rental on Turo and make every drive feel like the start of a vacation.

Open-air freedom

The Jeep Wrangler lets you drop the top, pull off the doors, and soak up the sea breeze on a coastal cruise. Few SUVs make the drive itself feel this much like the destination — it's open-air touring with room for your crew.

Confident four-wheel drive

The Jeep Wrangler 4x4 system sends torque to every wheel, so you keep steady traction on rain-slicked highways, snowy streets, and winding mountain roads. Rent a Jeep Wrangler for a ski weekend or a beach vacation and travel with confidence in changing weather.

Modern technology

The Wrangler's classic silhouette hides plenty of modern tech. You'll have a large touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, and cruise control at your fingertips on long scenic drives, and automatic high-beam headlamps help keep the road ahead well lit after dark.

Discover nature with the Wrangler

A Jeep Wrangler rental turns the drive into part of the trip. Cruise scenic byways to national parks, coastal towns, and snow-capped mountain getaways, with four-wheel drive capability when the weather turns.

In the back of your Jeep rental, you'll find ample storage space for beach chairs, coolers, and weekend bags. Opt for the four-door Wrangler Unlimited for even more space.

Built to last

The Jeep Wrangler has always been built to last. Its four-wheel drive system and durable steel frame pair with a sturdy suspension that keeps the ride composed, and from the engine to the frame, the Wrangler favors dependable capability and simplicity.

Designed to keep passengers safe

Whether you're heading out on a family city excursion or a scenic weekend escape, the Jeep Wrangler comes with safety features like side-impact door beams, traction control, and electronic stability control.

Top tips and things to know before renting a Wrangler

Know your Wrangler options

Jeep rentals come in two- and four-door models. While the two-door is easier to maneuver, the four-door Wrangler Unlimited is the perfect vehicle when you need more passenger space. For many Jeep models, folding the back seats will roughly double the cargo space. Prefer a quieter, more traditional SUV cabin? A Jeep Grand Cherokee rental gives you a smoother ride for highway-heavy trips.

Consider the right setup for your trip

A few smart choices make your Jeep Wrangler rental even better:

Take the Jeep Wrangler slowly on unfamiliar roads to maintain the balance when navigating around bends and narrow streets.

Before you book a Jeep, consider the trim options. The base Sport models have essential features, while the Rubicon is a higher-performance trim.

Plan your routes on paved roads

Off-roading is not permitted on Turo trips. Turo's prohibited uses policy also rules out driving on undeveloped or unimproved roads and towing anything — even if the Wrangler you book has a hitch. Plan scenic drives on paved roads and developed park routes, and you'll get all the open-air fun without the fine print.

How much does it cost to rent a Wrangler?

Jeep Wrangler rental prices on Turo vary by year, trim, trip length, extras, and delivery. To save, look for discounts on longer trips and early bookings — a long-term car rental can lower your daily rate.

How does insurance work for a Jeep Wrangler rental on Turo?

No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.

In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. On each trip, you’re covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*

In New York state, you’ll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

Yes, multiple guests can drive the Jeep Wrangler you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; local vehicle owners can't do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.

To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

  1. * Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.

  2.
