Travelling with large families or road tripping across long distances? A Hyundai Staria rental is the perfect choice, with comfortable seating, advanced safety features and handy cruise control functionality.
From airport transfers to getting the bridal party from A to B in one trip, hiring a Hyundai Staria on Turo is the easiest way to transport up to 8 passengers at a time. It's the perfect vehicle for group travel and an ideal choice for anyone looking for an alternative to a minibus, too.

Acceleration

With a maximum cabin height of 1,379mm, the Staria has one of the most spacious cabins for a vehicle of its class. With enough space for up to 8 passengers and up to 1,303 litres of boot capacity, you can comfortably transport large groups without needing to hire a minivan.
It's hard to miss a Staria on the road. Its sleek, one-curve silhouette gives the vehicle its iconic spaceship-inspired look, with panoramic windows offering uninterrupted views. Plus, the wide radiator grille, wide glass sunroofs and horizontal LED daytime running lights ensure it stands out on the road.
The Staria doesn't compromise on safety features, either. Expect autonomous braking, handy blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warnings and handy rear parking sensors to keep your whole crew safe, even during extended road trips.
For a truly unique experience, it’s hard to beat renting a Hyundai Staria. This people mover blends style, safety and practicality, perfect for families and large groups looking for a more memorable take on a traditional van or minivan.

Beat distractions and squeeze into tight parking spaces with the Staria's handy Surround View Monitor. This feature provides a 360-degree view of the front, rear, and sides of your vehicle, making it easier and faster to nail even tight parking spots.
No matter what this Great Southern Land throws your way, you'll be able to hit the road with confidence with a Staria car hire. Use HTRAC AWD to ensure all four wheels are used to offer maximum traction at all times, with AWD Lock right at your fingertips, too.
Use the Staria's wide-angle camera to get a clear view of the whole cabin from the front seats. With the Rear Passenger View Monitor, you can keep an eye on the kids without losing sight of the road ahead for a handy extra set of eyes.
Other popular models

First time driving a Staria? While it might seem similar to a Hyundai Santa Fe or Hyundai Staria Highlander, the standard Staria has a few things to keep in mind:
- Allow extra space when parking and changing lanes; this vehicle is much larger than a standard car
- Plan your route carefully and make sure to consider the height and width of the Staria
The cost of a Staria car rental can vary depending on the model variant, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap Staria rental, look out for potential discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
Yes, but it does help to understand a few nuances to expect when driving a Staria. With wide panoramic windows, an 8-speed automatic transmission and a spacious interior, it's easy to see the road and feel comfortable behind the wheel. However, take extra care in multi-storey car parks and use the car's 360-view technology to make it easier to navigate tight parking spaces.

To rent a car on Turo in Australia, you must create a Turo account, have a valid driver’s license, get approved to drive on Turo, and be 21 years old or older.
When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for all future road trips, day trips, and business trips!
You must have a valid, full, active, permanent licence to book a car in Australia. A valid licence is one that’s not expired, suspended, or revoked.
If you have a licence issued by a country outside of Australia, Turo requires you to have a valid permanent licence issued by your home country. If your licence is not written in English, you must also have an International Driving Permit or an official English translation of your licence.
The minimum age to rent a vehicle on Turo in Australia is 21 years of age, with all drivers under 25 years old being subjected to an extra charge of $15/day (a.k.a the Young Driver Surcharge). Plus, if you're looking to hire certain vehicle classes, you must be 25 or older to book a Deluxe Class vehicle, and 30 or older to book a Super Deluxe Class vehicle.
You don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.
When signing the rental agreement, you’ll choose between the Premier (if available), Standard, and Minimum protection plans. Each plan includes varying limits on financial responsibility for damage to a host’s vehicle. All trips include up to $20,000,000 (per event) in legal liability protection. Legal liability protection protects against damage to other people’s property and death or bodily injury (where the legal liability is not covered or capable of being covered by any statutory or compulsory scheme) as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. All protection is provided by Turo Travels Mutual.*

Yes, there is — whether you want to rent a car for three days, three months, or even longer, you can on Turo. You’ll find discounted prices on bookings lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days, so you can get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you’ll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
On Turo, you can't rent a car on your Ps in Australia. To hire a car on Turo, you must have a valid full license - no provisional or conditional licenses are accepted.
* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. Liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.
For questions or information about the third party liability insurance that is included in protection plans in the US, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host’s vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site.
When a trip is booked in the state of Washington, physical damage to the host’s vehicle is covered by insurance purchased by Turo, but the Turo insurance does not change the contractual responsibilities of hosts or guests with respect to physical damage to a host’s vehicle.
