Highly recommended car rental services! Very smooth and easy transaction. Divyang, the host/owner gave us a very reasonable price especially when we requested for an additional day of booking. Very easy to communicate also and is very accommodating. The vehicle provided to us is in pristine condition and never had any issues the entire time we are using the vehicle. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a pleasant experience renting this car from John. The booking process was straightforward and hassle-free, and the co-hosts were friendly, professional, and responsive to my queries. The vehicle provided was generally clean and in good condition though a small technical glitch on the tyre sensors prompting low pressure. Collection and return procedures were efficient, with clear instructions provided throughout. Overall, the service was reliable and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Turo to anyone looking for a smooth and convenient rental experience, and I would not hesitate to use their service again in the future.
Car was fantastic, was very well presented with check in being mega easy, group of us used it to go Great Ocean Road and I was the sole driver for the trip. From that I would really emphasise the comfort and drivability of the car having no struggles or discomforts during or after the trip. Connects to phone very easy as well, thank you for letting us use the car!

Great car to drive and in a great condition! Host Daniel was very responsive and easy to deal with. I will definitely reach out again if I have family visiting Melbourne and will remember this vehicle for a long time! Thanks Daniel!
Ami was a great host, easy to deal with and on hand if we needed. He even dropped and picked up the car to our accommodation which was a bonus :) The LDV van was great for our party of 9 to do a couple of day trips outside of Melbourne. Thanks!!
Host was very accommodating and friendly! Will go out of his way to make your trip convenient !! This is the third time we are using him!
Amazing host amazing car, fits our family of 6 really well. I honestly can’t ask for a better experience.
I don’t have the words to describe how great the mini van is, or how fabulous Bruno was to communicate with! In an age where trust is currency, these reviews matter. The process was seamless, but it was only when I needed assistance (entirely my fault) that I realised how fortunate we were. Bruno was patient and solution-focused. I cannot recommend a stranger on the internet more highly. This is the first time we have used this platform, and it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. We have hired cars for years through the big providers, but will only use Bruno in the future.

Host is friendly, accommodative with pickup and drop off locations, overall good renting the car from him
The car was clean and the pickup was easy. No issues. Would recommend booking again.

The van was fantastic, perfect condition, clean and ready to go. Paul couldn’t be a better Turo host! The communication was excellent and he was very accommodating for both pick up and drop off. Would definitely recommend renting any vehicle from Paul

Good car and smooth process. Could not get the bluetooth to work but may have been user error!
Great car for a long drive with up to 6 mates. Highly recommended and the host very attentive. 5 ⭐
The car wa sin good condition and the journey was extremely smooth. The service provided by the host was top notch.
Car was great, exactly what we needed. Pick up was easy and clear instructions were given. Thank you!

Start at Hosier Lane, known for its ever-changing graffiti, then venture to Degraves Street for coffee and Centre Place for shopping. The minivan's spacious interior is perfect for storing shopping bags and camera equipment. Take advantage of multi-level car parks in the CBD, which often accommodate taller vehicles. Visit early morning to beat the crowds and capture the best photos of the street art.
When hiring a minivan in Collingwood, book early to secure the best rates, especially during peak seasons. Choose a vehicle with features like reverse cameras and parking sensors to navigate Melbourne's busy streets. Consider fuel efficiency for longer trips to the Yarra Valley or Great Ocean Road. Familiarise yourself with local parking regulations, particularly in Melbourne's CBD. For family trips, enquire about child seats and entertainment systems. Lastly, opt for a minivan with flexible seating arrangements to accommodate both passengers and luggage comfortably throughout your Victorian adventure.

When selecting a pickup location, think about parking availability and local traffic patterns. Keep in mind that Collingwood is known for its vibrant arts scene and proximity to the Yarra River, so choosing a central location could enhance your experience. Collingwood offers numerous family-friendly destinations perfect for a minivan adventure. The Great Ocean Road, a short drive from Melbourne, provides breathtaking coastal views and iconic landmarks like the Twelve Apostles. Closer to home, the Yarra Valley boasts picturesque vineyards and family-friendly attractions. For nature lovers, the Dandenong Ranges offer lush forests and scenic drives. The Grampians National Park, with its rugged sandstone mountains and abundant wildlife, is another excellent option for families. These destinations are ideal for exploring in a spacious hired minivan, ensuring comfort for all passengers during your Victorian journey.
Efficient packing for your minivan journey from Collingwood is crucial for a smooth trip. Utilise packing cubes or compression bags to maximise space and keep items organised. Place heavier items at the bottom and towards the centre of the vehicle for better weight distribution. Use the minivan's various compartments and pockets for smaller items and essentials you'll need during the drive. Consider using a roof rack or cargo box for bulky items, freeing up interior space. Create a designated area for snacks and drinks, easily accessible to passengers. Remember to leave some space for souvenirs you might pick up along your Victorian adventure.
Several popular minivan models excel in comfort and features for long trips around Victoria. Look for vehicles with ample seating capacity and adjustable configurations to accommodate passengers and luggage. Models with dual sliding doors offer convenient access, especially in tight parking spaces common in Melbourne. Features like climate control, comfortable seating with good lumbar support, and entertainment systems can enhance the driving experience on long journeys. Some minivans also offer advanced safety features, which are particularly beneficial when navigating diverse Victorian roads. Consider fuel efficiency as well, as this can significantly impact your travel budget during extended trips across the state.
When driving around the Collingwood area with children, consider a variety of entertainment options to keep them engaged. Portable DVD players or tablets preloaded with movies and games can be lifesavers on long stretches. Audio books or podcasts suitable for children can be both entertaining and educational. Traditional travel games like I Spy, adapted to spot Australian wildlife or landmarks, can be fun and interactive. For creative kids, provide drawing materials or activity books themed around Victorian attractions. Don't forget to pack some Australian-themed toys or stuffed animals representing local fauna. These entertainment options can make the journey as enjoyable as the destination, turning your hired minivan into a mobile fun zone.
Parking a minivan in Collingwood can present some challenges due to the area's urban layout. Many streets have limited parking spaces, and some car parks have height restrictions that may not accommodate taller minivans. To navigate these challenges, consider using parking apps to find suitable spots in advance. Look for dedicated van parking areas, often available in larger public car parks. When parallel parking, take advantage of your minivan's size by choosing end spots where possible. In Melbourne's busy areas, arrive early to secure parking, especially during peak times or events. Always check signage carefully for any time limits or restrictions to avoid fines during your stay in Collingwood.
Driving a minivan in Victoria requires some adjustments compared to smaller vehicles. The larger size means a wider turning radius, so allow extra space when navigating Melbourne's urban streets or tight country roads. Minivans typically have a higher centre of gravity, which can affect handling, especially on winding roads common in rural Victoria. Be mindful of the vehicle's length when changing lanes or merging in traffic. The elevated seating position offers better visibility, which is advantageous on busy city roads. However, it's crucial to be aware of blind spots, particularly when reversing. Fuel consumption may be higher, so plan refuelling stops accordingly, especially on longer trips across the state.
Ensuring child safety in a hired minivan is paramount. First, familiarise yourself with the vehicle's anchor points and seat belt system. Always use appropriate car seats for your children's age and size, adhering to Australian safety standards. Install the seats securely, checking for any movement at the base. For rear-facing seats, ensure the correct recline angle. In forward-facing seats, adjust the tether strap properly. Place car seats in the second row when possible, as it's generally the safest. If using the third row, ensure it's not too close to the rear of the vehicle. Double-check all installations before setting off on your Victorian adventure, and periodically recheck during long trips to maintain safety throughout your journey.
For comfortable long-distance travel in a minivan around Collingwood and Victoria, start by adjusting the seating to support good posture. Use cushions or lumbar supports for additional comfort on lengthy drives. Plan regular stops to stretch and refresh, taking advantage of Victoria's scenic rest areas. Keep the minivan well-ventilated and maintain a comfortable temperature. Pack plenty of water and healthy snacks to stay hydrated and energised. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and consider bringing blankets for passengers who might feel cold. Use sun shades on windows to reduce glare and heat. Organise the minivan's interior to keep essential items within easy reach, minimising disruption during the journey. These tips will help ensure a pleasant driving experience as you explore the diverse landscapes of Victoria.
