Hayden was great to deal with! It was a last minute hire for my daughter’s formal, but Hayden made sure the car was in mint condition. Super easy drop off and pick up process. It was a great first experience on Turo. Thank you!
This was my first time using Turo. The trip started off with clear instructions for an easy contactless pickup & easy to find lock box. The Kia Cerato is clean & comfortable to drive. And host Joel has been a pleasure to deal with throughout the trip and was very responsive with any enquires I had. Overall great experience! Thanks Joel!

Very nice little car to drive. Clean tidy and they were lovely people to deal with

Trusty little car! Rental process was super easy and because of the size we were able to zip around everywhere and find parking with ease.
I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The whole process was incredibly easy, straightforward, and stress-free. The team was very accommodating and flexible, making it simple to arrange an early drop-off and pick-up, which was greatly appreciated. The car itself was excellent, clean, well presented, and a pleasure to drive. It handled beautifully on the road and was exceptionally smooth and comfortable, making every trip enjoyable. Communication throughout the process was great, and everything was organised efficiently. This is the third time I've used their services, and every experience has been just as positive as the last. Their reliability, excellent customer service, and quality vehicles are the reason I keep coming back. Highly recommended.
Wei and David are very good hosts. They provide good instructions and even stand by to offer assistance before pulling off. They are flexible on the pick up time as well as on the return. I will definitely rent their car on my next trip.

Navigating parking in Brisbane's CBD can be challenging, but with some planning, it's manageable. Many streets offer metered parking, but spaces fill quickly during peak hours. Consider using one of the numerous secure parking stations scattered throughout the city centre. These often offer more competitive rates for all-day parking. Some shopping centres provide free parking for short periods with validation. When using your hired car in the CBD, it's wise to arrive early to secure a spot. Keep in mind that some areas have clearways during peak traffic times, so always check signage carefully. Using a parking app can help you find available spaces and even allow you to pay remotely, making your city exploration more convenient.
For exploring Queensland's varied terrain around Everton Park, versatile vehicles are ideal. A mid-size SUV offers a good balance of comfort, space, and capability for both city driving and light off-road adventures. If you're planning to stick to sealed roads, a standard sedan or hatchback can be suitable and more fuel-efficient for longer trips. For those venturing to more remote areas or beach driving, consider a 4WD vehicle. When selecting your car hire, think about your specific itinerary. If you're heading to the coast, a convertible might add some fun to your drive. For family trips or groups, a larger SUV or minivan can provide ample space for passengers and luggage, ensuring a comfortable journey through Queensland's beautiful landscapes.
Everton Park and its surrounding areas are well-served with reliable petrol stations. Major chains like Coles Express, BP, and Shell have locations along main roads such as South Pine Road and Stafford Road. These stations often offer convenience stores for quick supplies. For potentially lower prices, look for independent stations scattered throughout the suburbs. When planning longer trips in your rental car, it's wise to fuel up before leaving Everton Park, as petrol prices can be higher in more remote areas. Many stations now offer mobile apps that allow you to compare prices and find the best deals. Remember to check your vehicle's fuel type before filling up, and consider topping up your tank when it reaches half to avoid any fuel-related stress during your travels.
Brisbane's peak hour traffic can be challenging, especially for those unfamiliar with the city. Morning rush typically occurs between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, while evening peak is from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Major arterials like Gympie Road and the Bruce Highway experience significant congestion during these times. When using your hired car, consider adjusting your travel schedule to avoid these peak periods if possible. Brisbane's inner-city bypass and tunnel network can offer faster alternatives, though some are toll roads. Traffic heading into the CBD is heaviest in the morning, with the reverse true in the evening. Keep an eye out for clearways, which change throughout the day to manage traffic flow. Utilising traffic apps can help you navigate real-time conditions and find the most efficient routes during busy periods.
Brisbane presents some unique driving challenges that visitors should be aware of. The city's hilly terrain can catch newcomers off guard, particularly in areas like Spring Hill and Paddington where steep inclines and tight turns are common. When using your car hire in these areas, be prepared for hill starts and exercise caution on descents. Brisbane's numerous roundabouts, especially multi-lane ones, can be confusing for those unfamiliar with them. Always indicate your intentions clearly. During summer, sudden heavy downpours can create hazardous driving conditions, reducing visibility and causing roads to become slippery. Be prepared for changing weather and adjust your driving accordingly. Lastly, watch out for cyclists and pedestrians in busy areas, particularly around South Bank and the CBD, where shared zones are common.
When embarking on long-distance drives from Everton Park to explore Queensland, preparation is key. Ensure your rental car is suitable for the journey, considering factors like fuel efficiency and comfort for extended periods. Plan your route in advance, noting potential rest stops and fuel stations, especially when venturing into more remote areas. Pack plenty of water and snacks, and consider bringing a cooler for perishables. Queensland's climate can be harsh, so check your vehicle's air conditioning before departure. For safety, inform someone of your travel plans and expected arrival time. Take regular breaks to combat fatigue, aiming to stop every two hours or so. Be aware that wildlife is more active at dawn and dusk, so exercise extra caution during these times. Lastly, keep an eye on weather forecasts and road conditions, particularly during the wet season when flooding can occur.
Driving in extreme heat around Everton Park requires extra precautions. Before setting out in your hired car, ensure the air conditioning is functioning properly to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature. Check your vehicle's coolant levels and tyre pressure, as heat can exacerbate existing issues. Plan your journey to avoid the hottest parts of the day if possible, typically between 11 AM and 3 PM. Carry plenty of water for both yourself and potentially your vehicle in case of overheating. Be aware that road surfaces can become extremely hot, potentially affecting tyre traction and increasing the risk of blowouts. Watch for signs of heat stress in yourself and passengers, taking regular breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas. If you're travelling to more remote areas, inform someone of your plans and carry extra supplies. Remember, the Australian sun can be intense, so use sun protection even while driving.
