The car is good and the host really responsive. Trustworthy place to rent a car.

Totally recommend this car rental! The car was super clean and pretty new, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Picking up and dropping off the car was super easy — no stress at all. The price was fair, and overall great value. I’d definitely rent from them again!

Car was amazing, it really accomodate what we need as a couple who want to do romantic road trip drive thru great ocean road. Suspension still good and powerfull too. Pick up in and out also went smoothly. Thank you Kay.

Checkin and Checkout process very straightforward forward. Car is exactly as expected, very fun to drive. Car was clean and presents as neatly as it does in the photos. Host is very responsive which is always a big plus. Great car to take when zipping through country roads and very convenient for Melbourne city driving. Had a great time. will definitely keep this in mind for the next time we need a rental.
Great, very accommodating and easy to deal with. I’d rent from him again.

Beautiful car, great communication. Sushma is very helpful i definitely will rent again soon in the future
This is possibly my new favourite thing regarding car hire, I only came across Turo last week, when I need to book a car late Sunday night for an early Monday start, and could not find any of the traditional car hire places open or able to accomodate, unless I went to the airport. I found Turo and Ajay and booked my car very late Sunday night and hoped for the best for 7am start, Ajay responded immediately, a convenient pick up location, a super convenient process, car was immaculate, and to top it all off, I was able to end the journey at my place and Ajay came and met me at mine to take back the car, so I did not have to worry about transport back to mine. Phenonemal platform and even more than phenomenal host, I willl never use a traditional car hire place again, (note here that not every Turo experience seems great with lots of hosts appearing to cancel with little notice, not Ajay) book, book, book ... highly highly recommended.

Brilliant car. Honestly one of the best ive driven. It is very fuel efficient but gutsy at the same time. This car is more than it first appears to be on the surface, genuinely loaded with features and yet it sips fuel. Would definitely drive this again so thank you to the owner for the opportunity.
Car was absolutely perfect, was exactly what we wanted. Very clean, excellent communication. Cant wait to hire it again on our next trip. Would definitely recommend having a drive in a Mustang to anyone. Great job guys

Great car to rent for a weekend. Was super clean when I got it and host was really responsive! Would definitely rent again!

Car was absolutely as described and was ideal for our trip to the 12 Apostles! Thank you Ash. Would recommend
Car was fantastic for a day trip! Easy to drive and comfortable. David was easy to contact and very helpful!

Friendly host. Alvin was punctual and patient in explaining how to use the car. He is helpful when contacted with queries.
Caulfield boasts an array of attractions easily accessible by car. From the historic Caulfield Racecourse to the serene Caulfield Park, there's something for everyone. A hired car gives you the flexibility to explore nearby St Kilda Beach, venture into Melbourne's bustling CBD, or take a scenic drive along the Mornington Peninsula. With your own wheels, you can seamlessly blend urban exploration with coastal relaxation.
The iconic Caulfield Racecourse is a must-visit attraction, offering an exhilarating day out for racing enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Just a short drive from Caulfield's centre, this historic venue hosts world-class horse racing events throughout the year. Ample parking is available on-site, making it convenient for those with a hired car. Consider taking a scenic route along Dandenong Road to enjoy views of the surrounding suburbs on your way to the racecourse.
Caulfield Park, a verdant oasis in the heart of the suburb, offers a perfect escape from the urban hustle. With your car hire, you can easily transport picnic gear, sports equipment, or even bicycles to make the most of this expansive green space. The park features walking trails, sports facilities, and a lovely lake. Parking is available along Hawthorn Road and Balaclava Road, allowing easy access to different areas of the park.
A short drive from Caulfield, St Kilda Beach beckons with its golden sands and vibrant atmosphere. Your hired car allows you to pack all your beach essentials without hassle. Cruise down Balaclava Road and enjoy the changing scenery as you approach the coast. Once there, find parking along The Esplanade or in nearby lots. After a day of sun and surf, you can easily explore St Kilda's famous Acland Street, known for its eclectic shops and mouth-watering cake shops.

• By car: Drive from Melbourne CBD via Dandenong Road or St Kilda Road.
When booking a car hire in Caulfield, consider reserving early on Turo for the best selection. Choose a vehicle that suits your plans, whether it's a compact car for city driving or a larger model for coastal trips. Look for extras like GPS navigation for easy exploration, or a bike rack if you plan to cycle along Beach Road. During peak racing season, book well in advance to ensure availability. Remember to check for parking options at your accommodation, as some areas in Caulfield have restricted street parking.
Caulfield offers several convenient pickup locations for car hire. Guests can easily find hosts on Turo offering vehicles near Caulfield Railway Station, a central hub for transportation. Many hosts on Turo also provide delivery options to popular areas like Caulfield Park or Caulfield Racecourse, enhancing convenience for guests. The Monash University Caulfield campus is another common pickup point, ideal for students and visitors. To access these locations, guests can use public transport or rideshare services. When booking a car hire on Turo, guests can filter for hosts offering delivery to their preferred location in Caulfield, making the process seamless. Remember to communicate with your host on Turo regarding specific pickup arrangements and any special requirements for your Caulfield car hire experience.
When exploring St Kilda Beach from Caulfield with your car, several convenient parking options are available. The Jacka Boulevard foreshore offers paid parking bays with stunning beach views. Alternatively, consider the nearby Shakespeare Grove car park, which provides ample space for vehicles. For budget-conscious travellers, free parking can be found on some residential streets a short walk from the beach, but be sure to check signage for any restrictions. During peak seasons, arriving early is advisable to secure a spot. Remember to bring coins or use the parking apps for metered areas to avoid any hassles during your beach day adventure in this vibrant part of Melbourne.
Navigating Melbourne's extensive tram network in your car requires extra caution. Always be aware of tram tracks and never drive on them unless necessary. When turning right at an intersection with trams, use the 'hook turn' technique - a unique Melbourne driving custom. Stay alert for passengers boarding or alighting from trams, and remember it's mandatory to stop behind a stationary tram with its doors open. Keep an eye out for dedicated tram lanes and avoid entering them during specified hours. Familiarise yourself with the 'ding ding' sound of approaching trams and give them right of way. By staying vigilant and respecting tram rules, you can safely explore Melbourne's charming streets in your car while coexisting with this iconic public transport system.
Caulfield's proximity to Port Phillip Bay offers car enthusiasts several scenic driving routes with stunning vistas. The Beach Road route, stretching from Brighton to Mordialloc, provides continuous bay views and access to numerous beach spots. For a longer adventure, take the Nepean Highway south towards Mornington Peninsula, where you'll encounter picturesque coastal towns and panoramic lookouts. The Esplanade in St Kilda offers a shorter but equally impressive drive with views of the bay and Melbourne's skyline. Don't miss the chance to explore the winding roads of Arthurs Seat, offering breathtaking elevated views of the bay and beyond. These routes showcase the beauty of Victoria's coastline and make for unforgettable driving experiences in your car.
For a versatile exploration of Melbourne and the Dandenong Ranges, consider a compact SUV or a mid-size car. These vehicle types offer a balance of city manoeuvrability and comfort for longer drives. In urban Melbourne, a smaller car helps with navigating narrow lanes and finding parking spots. However, when venturing into the Dandenong Ranges, you'll appreciate the extra space and slightly higher clearance of an SUV for winding roads and potential unsealed tracks. If fuel efficiency is a priority, look for a hybrid option. For those planning extensive mountain driving, a car with good torque and responsive handling is ideal. Whatever your choice, ensure your vehicle has air conditioning for Melbourne's variable weather and ample boot space for picnic gear or hiking equipment.
Drivers heading out from Caulfield along the Nepean Highway will find numerous reliable petrol stations to fuel up their cars. Major service stations are conveniently located at regular intervals, ensuring you're never far from a refuelling point. Look for well-known brands which often offer competitive prices and quality fuel. Many of these stations also feature convenience stores for quick snacks or travel essentials. It's wise to check your fuel gauge before departing Caulfield and plan to refill when you're at quarter tank. Some stations along this route provide additional services like tyre inflation and windscreen cleaning facilities. Remember, prices can vary between stations, so keeping an eye out for the best deals can help you save on your journey.
When hiring a car in Caulfield, be prepared for Melbourne's famously changeable weather. Opt for a vehicle with reliable air conditioning and heating to handle temperature fluctuations. Consider choosing a car with good windscreen wipers and demisting capabilities for sudden rain showers. It's wise to keep a light jacket or umbrella in the car for unexpected cool spells or drizzle. Check that your hired car's tyres are in good condition for optimal traction on wet roads. Familiarise yourself with the car's headlights and fog lights before setting out, as visibility can change rapidly. Lastly, plan your routes with flexibility in mind, allowing for weather-related detours or extended indoor activities if the elements aren't cooperating with your outdoor plans.
Driving in Caulfield's residential areas offers a more relaxed experience compared to Melbourne's CBD. In Caulfield, you'll encounter wider streets, lower speed limits, and less traffic congestion. Parking is generally easier to find, often with fewer restrictions. However, be mindful of school zones and local traffic calming measures. In contrast, Melbourne's CBD presents a more challenging driving environment with one-way streets, tram lines, and hook turns at intersections. Traffic is denser, and parking can be scarce and expensive. The CBD also has more pedestrians and cyclists to watch out for. When transitioning between these areas in your car, adjust your driving style accordingly, staying alert for changes in road rules and traffic patterns to ensure a safe journey.
For drivers seeking a break near Caulfield, several picturesque spots offer ideal resting points. Caulfield Park provides a serene green space perfect for stretching your legs and enjoying a picnic. A short drive away, the Brighton Beach Gardens offer stunning bay views and colourful bathing boxes, making it a delightful stop. For those heading towards the Dandenong Ranges, the 1000 Steps Kokoda Walk provides a scenic rest area with walking trails and picnic facilities. Closer to the city, Albert Park Lake offers a peaceful lakeside setting with plenty of parking. These locations not only provide a chance to relax but also showcase the diverse beauty of Melbourne's surroundings, enhancing your driving experience with memorable pit stops.
