Nestled in the heart of Victoria, Aberfeldie offers a charming blend of suburban tranquillity and urban convenience. This picturesque suburb, located just northwest of Melbourne's bustling centre, boasts tree-lined streets, beautiful parks, and a close-knit community atmosphere. Booking a car hire in Aberfeldie allows you to fully explore the area's hidden gems, from local cafes to nearby attractions, while also providing easy access to Melbourne's vibrant city life and the stunning natural beauty of Victoria's countryside.
David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)

Carma definitely restored my faith in Tullamarine car rental companies. Hannah was super friendly. Pick and drop off was a breeze. Car got 700kms on one tank. No complaints at all. Thanks team!

Mr. John upgraded my rental car free of charge, which let me experience the charm of a GT for the first time. This Mustang made my Great Ocean Road trip incredibly enjoyable. Meanwhile, Mr. John thoughtfully prepared an umbrella and water in the car. I will definitely rent a car from him again when I come to Melbourne next time.

Great and awesome. Had a best trip with the car. Will return to rent it again. Thanks guys

The trip was amazing! The car works really well. It was a little bit dirty but nothing too crazy. I’ll rent again🌟
The car rental process was very easy and smooth. Suraj, the owner, personally brought the car key to the meeting point, which I really appreciated. I prefer this much more than using a lockbox, as I’ve had issues with passcodes before. The car was clean, easy to use, and very comfortable to drive. Communication with the owner was excellent — he was easy to contact and replied to messages quickly. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this rental.

Fantastic host! Super polite and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Great communication, pick up and drop off process was a breeze. Cars are clean and well presented. This is my second hire with this host and both cars have had a high quality phone mount already in the vehicle, (inclusive and not charged as an extra) a non-negotiable for me to use gps safely while driving. Happy to hire with this host again!

Great car, runs smoothly and good to get around the city and out of the city on a longer haul. Some minor parts not quite at full function such as the side mirror tilting (this could be fixed by changing the angle by hand) but primarily these were cosmetic. Pick up was really easy, once I figured out the lock box, bluetooth functionality worked and car was comfortable and warm to drive, and clean to arrive at. Overall great value and great location, would rent again.

Absolutely, Amazing Car this wasn’t my first time hiring with carma and definitely not last either. Like all their other cars this supra was hectic. Easy pickup and easy drop off.
Great, very accommodating and easy to deal with. I’d rent from him again.
This is possibly my new favourite thing regarding car hire, I only came across Turo last week, when I need to book a car late Sunday night for an early Monday start, and could not find any of the traditional car hire places open or able to accomodate, unless I went to the airport. I found Turo and Ajay and booked my car very late Sunday night and hoped for the best for 7am start, Ajay responded immediately, a convenient pick up location, a super convenient process, car was immaculate, and to top it all off, I was able to end the journey at my place and Ajay came and met me at mine to take back the car, so I did not have to worry about transport back to mine. Phenonemal platform and even more than phenomenal host, I willl never use a traditional car hire place again, (note here that not every Turo experience seems great with lots of hosts appearing to cancel with little notice, not Ajay) book, book, book ... highly highly recommended.
Car was absolutely perfect, was exactly what we wanted. Very clean, excellent communication. Cant wait to hire it again on our next trip. Would definitely recommend having a drive in a Mustang to anyone. Great job guys
Car pickup and return was quick and easy. Host responds very fast to any queries I had during the trip. Would hire from them again in the future if I ever need a car again.
Car was great. Well looked after. Will definitely rent again in the future
Great clean and super tidy car, will definitely rent again if I need a car.
Car was fantastic for a day trip! Easy to drive and comfortable. David was easy to contact and very helpful!
Pick up and drop off are easy and instructions are clear. Host is nice to deal with tbh and car runs good

Navigating Melbourne's peak hour traffic requires some strategy. Plan your journeys outside rush hours if possible, typically avoiding 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM on weekdays. When visiting popular spots like Aberfeldie Park or Maribyrnong Park, arrive early to secure a spot during peak times. In nearby Moonee Ponds, you'll find more extensive parking facilities, including some paid options. Always ensure you're not blocking driveways or parked too close to intersections. Check tyre pressure, as heat can cause over-inflation. Park in shaded areas when possible to keep the interior cooler. If leaving the car parked for extended periods, use a windshield sun protector. Be mindful of leather or vinyl seats which can become extremely hot; consider using seat covers. Keep a close eye on the temperature gauge while driving, especially on long trips from Aberfeldie to regional Victoria. In extreme conditions, try to travel during cooler parts of the day. Remember, Victoria's weather can be unpredictable, so always be prepared for sudden changes, even when expecting heat.
When driving on rural roads near Aberfeldie, safety should be your top priority. Be prepared for narrow, winding roads and adjust your speed accordingly. Watch for wildlife, especially at dawn and dusk when animals are more active. Keep a safe following distance from other vehicles, as sudden stops may be necessary. Be cautious of farm machinery on the roads, particularly during harvest seasons. When overtaking, ensure you have a clear view of oncoming traffic and plenty of space. Rural roads may lack street lighting, so use your high beams when appropriate, but remember to dim them for oncoming traffic. Stay alert for changing road conditions, such as loose gravel or potholes. If you're unfamiliar with the area, allow extra time for your journey and avoid driving at night if possible. Always carry a charged mobile phone for emergencies, but never use it while driving.
