The quality of the van was horrible. I booked my birthday trip to Miami Florida with 9 of my female friends for a girls trip. We didn’t want to take a flight because we wanted to save some funds by just taking that drive.

I seen this van, and I decided to rent it for 4 days. Going down, everything was good. The van is definitely old and not in the best condition. The second day, the back AC went completely out. It’s 9 of us in a hot van in Miami Florida trying to just enjoy our trip. I reached out to the owner and was met with apologies.

On the last day, we had to take the van to the mechanic to see if it was the stuff they put in cars to make the air blow harder. The mechanic said, no, it’s the blower because the AC panel was not coming on at all. I have full video of the AC not working in the car. We had to go and buy fans to try to keep ourselves cool in Miami Florida heat. Now I’m trying to get a partial refund and they’re saying that I need to get the paperwork from the mechanic. Mind you, this mechanic was just walking in AutoZone and because it’s a car full of women we don’t know anything about cars so we asked the mechanic to help us.

That’s unfortunate chain of events as it came from the dealer just 4 days prior. It’s a man made product and we can’t predict when an item will fail. Our company reached out to offer a full refund without any success via text.

The Vehicle was great. Most importantly the host was amazing.. every time I had a issue all concerned the host was available and answered in a timely manner. Was very respectable. And vehicle was absolutely clean. Would definitely recommend anyone who's looking for a road trip with the family.

I am only giving it 3 stars because the van it self wasn’t so bad.
As far is Turo and the host, i do not recommend.
Never have i ever had to meet someone in person than ask me for my license in hand. Than said I couldn’t take the van without him having my license.
After about 15 minutes with the host making phone calls to I guess the owner of the van, I finally got the van.
Also I had problems that morning where I was supposed to pick up at 10am , I arrived around 9:40 and maybe 2 minutes before pulling up the host texted me and asked me if I can push it back til 11am. I told him I couldn’t because I had to get to work , so we waiting a few minutes for him to get back, still no show so I texted him and asked him if my added driver can pick the car up and let me leave to go to work and he said yes. About 45 minutes later, he texted me and said no he couldn’t because it against the rules . Now I have already left for work, so I couldn’t drive back an hour away, so I called Turo and told them everything and they said well it’s non refundable only thing they can do is change my time. I said okay 4pm pickup and 4pm drop off, well before me even picking the car up the charger my card $46 for what I do not know. I called Turo and they said it’s non refundable and never gave me an extra on why they took my $46.

License verification is a required Turo policy for all guests. We attempted to accommodate your situation, but primary driver presence is required. The $46 charge was issued by Turo, not the host.
