Truck drives well, was clean, pick up was straightforward. However, there is an interior camera with audio functionality recording that was not disclosed in the listing nor did the host request explicit permission from me in writing as required by Turo's operating agreement. I messaged the host about how to turn it off and did not receive a response. I messaged Turo support, and they offered to terminate the rental and help me find another vehicle, but unfortunately I was on an extremely tight timeline so requested that they ensure that this didn't happen to future renters, and turned the interior camera towards the ceiling. It continued to record the entire trip, and I never received any response from the owner about the camera nor any further communication at all from him. I ended my trip early, and cannot recommend anyone rent from this owner.

I sincerely apologize for this oversight. I did not see the guest’s message about the camera until after the trip had ended. The interior audio recording has now been disabled, and the interior camera has been pointed toward the ceiling. I will also make sure all future guests are clearly notified about the camera before their trip. I understand the concern and have taken steps to make sure this does not happen again. I’m sorry for the communication lapse and inconvenience.
