The vehicle was clean, very nice. The owner responded right away when I messaged. Getting the vehicle was super easy! Everything was good until the vehicle overheated and the battery light came on while on interstate. We were stuck on the side of the road with very little support to safely get back to our hotel 80miles away. Ended up having to call someone to come get us and take us back to our hotel in the middle of the night- at our own expense. The owner quit responding after he retrieved his vehicle when I requested a refund. We followed all the rules of Turo and the owner. Due to the owner no longer responding, I had to escalate the matter to customer service to be reimbursed for additional costs and lost vacation plans. Turo customer service was not helpful originally in finding a safe way out of the situation we were put in, but they were great in the matter of reimbursement for additional costs incurred.
