The host was flexible and easy to work with throughout. When I made a mistake on the pickup location, he handled it without any issue. Then on our way back to the airport, the only nearby gas station was completely out of fuel — with a flight to catch, he worked with me to get the car fueled up so we could make our flight on time. That kind of flexibility made a stressful moment a non-issue.
A couple of notes for future guests: the car had some minor cosmetic scratches and dings on the exterior (fairly normal for a vehicle with 65k miles), though the interior seats were in great shape with no wear. The one thing I’d flag is a lingering smoke smell inside — not overwhelming, but noticeable every time you opened the doors after the car had been sitting, especially in the Florida summer heat. I mentioned this to the host directly and would encourage a deep clean to address it.
Overall, a smooth rental experience. The car itself I’d rate 4/5 given the cosmetic wear and odor, but the host’s communication and flexibility were easily 5/5. I’d absolutely rent from him again.
