Truck worked great.

Although this is a slightly older truck it did fine for us and got us everywhere we needed to go for the week here in AK. The only thing I would point out is that the picture in the Turo listing shows an incomplete picture of what you will be driving. The truck has a full overhead work rack installed on it. There isn’t anything wrong with that but you should know that it creates a significant amount of noise and vibration at freeway speeds or in windy conditions which is somewhat annoying at times. Other than that we have no complaints and it was nice having the additional cargo space for luggage inside and out of the rain.

I did want to point out that the photos of the truck on the listing do clearly show the full size roof rack. This is an asset to renters who need to use the truck for utility purposes.

Needs to swap out winter tires.
Made a statement about pet hair mentioned in a previous rental and there was pet hair in the back seat when I received the vehicle( pictures noted). Other wise an awesome trip good vehicle.
Hi Dean, thanks for your honest review - just wanted to note any existing pet hair was from the previous renter, who did not follow Turo's policy (which is why we mentioned it). Sorry we were not able to remove it all!
Additionally, we purposefully left the studded tires on because you mentioned you were driving to Fairbanks and we knew it was still snowy in that direction. Just trying to keep you safe on the highway :)

The host was amazing, great guy and love the truck on the way back seen some different wildlife. Again awesome host and vehicle, going to rent again sometimes this week!
