Car was dropped off about a 1/4 mile from where we discussed it being dropped at, and due to not checking his spelling I had to walk all over the place and play detective based off his pictures. Found a couple damaged spots on the vehicle that I didn't see in his pictures, I assume he has a folder of pictures they took one time and just keep using them. We got a message that made sure we were aware there was no smoking in the car, but it already reaked of smoke when we got in the car. Sent a message and didn't get a response for two days, was told he couldn't be held responsible for what previous renters had done. This is a high mileage vehicle (105k-ish) and the back window is aged bad enough that you couldn't see people behind you during the day when it was raining and they didn't have their lights on. It wasn't terrible, but it's probably time to retire this car from the fleet.
So sorry you had to walk and find the vehicle took pictures of the building surrounding the vehicle. Told you exactly where it was at when there’s no parking downtown it’s hard to park right next to the hotel that you were at we did two treatments in the vehicle before you received it taking care of you the way you thought it should be done

There was a cold snap in the weather revealing a bad battery in the vehicle. Had to call roadside service for $99, plus tax, plus airport fee, so $115.94 total. Roadside provided a jump start. It was apparent this was not the first time this has happened as someone left a battery jump pack under the hood next to the battery. I contacted the owner who acted like I must've left the auto headlights on, and told me they just replaced the battery 6 months ago. Battery had a date code from 2022. I was also told I would receive a refund for the roadside service, that has not happened. Battery died on me 4 more times during my trip, fortunately my co-worker who lives here had a jump pack I could borrow. I contacted the owner after the battery died again and was offered the solution of I could take it to Oreilly, buy a new battery, have them install it and get a refund for the cost of the battery after the trip was completed. Glad I didn't since I still haven't seen a refund for the roadside service jump start. Takeaways from this experience are I'll never use Turo again, for the same price why rent someones 6 year old 100k mile problem, when you could rent something brand new and when there's a problem they bring a new one to you.
