Truck was absolutely fantastic. Clean and ready to roll. Had nice floor covers and a full tank! Oil was full and truck had a great tool box to hold our stuff on our trip! 10/10 would recommend and rent again!

The trip was canceled early because the truck developed a fuel leak on the first day shortly after which the ‘check engine’ light appeared. This issue was out of the hosts control and he was apologetic and reasonable - we came to a simple conclusion - he arranged to have it picked up a few days later and to provide a refund. This was nobody’s fault and I would have considered this a 5-star review up to that point.
A few weeks later I received the refund via Paypal as well as a duplicate payment the host sent by mistake. I waited until the money came through and was no longer a ‘pending’ transaction, and then returned the disputed duplicate payment. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding from the host’s side about how quickly funds are cleared on Paypal when sent via eCheque, so in the week it took for the funds to clear into my account they assumed I was delaying the repayment, which was not the case - I use Turo regularly and would not act in this way. There was aggressive and unprofessional language used towards me in this situation.
Despite this misunderstanding, the host was seemingly very understanding up to that point and I do appreciate him making efforts to assist when we first discovered the issue.
We did drive to pick up the truck. The truck should no visible issues. We took it to our mechanic who also said there were no issues with the truck. Not sure what to do when everyone involved except the guest says that nothing is wrong with the vehicle (especially the mechanic because they profit from the vehicle needing to be repaired). I issued a refund via paypal which was issued twice. The guest who had not issue responding before never responded to any of my messages to send back
