Such a great truck

Not a very good trip. Our whole vacation was ruined. Host knew we were towing and I was even charged for a tow ball as an accessory. Of $30. Something we didn’t even get to use as the host knew he had electrical problems and didn’t tell me untill we took the truck. Also right before we went to pick up the truck he told us that the truck had a check engine light. It was too late for me to cancel as I would loose my money and to late to rent another vehicle. We rented the truck to tow my boat that a 6 cylinder truck would have towed. We figured a diesel would be more comfortable. Unfortunately due to his electrical not working properly. We were unable to tow as we had no trailer lights. Also after booking he demanded we replace the def fluid which is like an oil. Before I paid rules stated to replace fuel only and keep truck tidy and clean. And no smoking. We followed all his rules and even returned it with more gas than it what we took it with. Host was not honest from the beginning. This ruined our vacation and having our boat and our hotel was given to someone else as we didn’t show up on time as we had to spend a ton of money on fuses that the host kept telling us to get to fix the issue and delayed our trip. Finally the next day a mechanic said it’s not a fuse and the electrical on that truck is no good. This truck had no business being rented out. What a messed up vacation. I have never had a big issue like this renting from turo and I have rented from turo before diesel trucks and never demanded to replace the def oil. Only replace the fuel I used. This needs to be stated in the rules before a person books and pays! Not very happy I paid $30 for tow equipment I didn’t use nor am I happy that I had to pay a mechanic $100 to diagnose a issue that the host was aware of and spend over $40 in fuses that didn’t fix the problem.
