Communication was great! The vehicle provided needed some assistance on brakes , tires, and th smell… however. Other than that it was a smooth weekend

This vehicle (Black 2014 Ford F150) had some issues. Three out of four tires were “not road worthy” according to the Discount Tire Technician I had to go to during my rental period because I got “low tire pressure” warnings from the vehicle’s TPMS while at my destination. The brakes also began squeaking while on my way to my destination. Due to the safety issues with the truck, we had to borrow a relative’s vehicle. All of this was reported to the host and it took over 24 hours to get a response. The host DID find a location to have the tire changed after that 24 hour period but 1) to have made this work I would have had to delay my return from the destination and 2) I would have had to have to have either fronted the $200 cash that the tire shop required or worked out how to get the cash required from the not-very-responsive host (all while delaying my return). To top all of this off, the “check engine light” came on on my return.
I don’t think this host (or these hosts) is a bad person but they definitely need to take better care of at least this vehicle and ensure that, at minimum, the vehicle is street-worthy.
