Went down for a funeral and the one of the best part of this fast trip was this rental. Tysm!

Brian was an awesome host for our truck rental, mahalos to him and his Ohana!

The truck rental was great and just what we needed. Communication was awesome with the host from time of booking and especially when we had a mishap (locked the keys in the truck) while on our way to return the truck. Host was able to meet us and bring the spare key. Very much appreciated!

Everything was great! The car was exactly as described, clean, reliable, and had no issues at all. It was very easy to find, and the whole rental process was smooth. The host was friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout the trip. I would definitely rent this car again. Highly recommended!

Here’s the good: for a Tacoma with 118,000 miles, the air was cold, the vehicle started every time and was a joy to drive. Here’s the constructive feedback: the pickup owners need to do a BETTER JOB communicating WHAT ELEVATOR TO TAKE to find it. Honolulu’s Terminal 1 has 2 color coded elevators, each that lead you to Level 6, Row E which is the location of the pickup. I blew an hour going up and down the BLUE elevators searching in vain, before I realized the owners could have simply said in the instructions, “EXIT BAGGAGE CLAIM BETWEEN CAROUSELS 8 and 9, TAKE THE GREEN ELEVATOR to LEVEL 6 …” and there she is. Hopefully by the time you read this, these young businessmen will have improved their communication. When they do that, this rental will be worth 10 Stars….Terrific!

The quality of the vehicle was great. It was in good condition and just as expected. The pick up location was easy to find and convenient to get to from the airport. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating when we wanted to pick up just a little bit early. She was in communication during the whole trip and made herself available in case we needed her. It was an excellent rental experience.

Chadwick was excellent. I lost the key fob, totally my fault. It was at a stressful time because my flight was going to be leaving. Chadwick drove to me from some distance away to get me the spare key. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the quality of Chadwick’s character, his truck was great. Only problem was me misplacing his fob,

The quality of this truck is awesome. It was everything me and my family needed to enjoy our trip and the beach thank you Alvin for providing us with the right vehicle that we needed aloha.
The car was awesome. From pickup to drop off was very easy because of clear instructions from the host. I would definitely rent from them again.
Would definitely use this again. Easy, convenient and less expensive than renting through traditional rental companies.

The jeep was great! Super easy to find, and the host responded super fast. Definitely will rent again when visiting home.

Great truck. Great host. Will definitely use again. Couldn’t have been easier.

Enjoyed the island so much more cruising around in this beautiful truck. Great price for such a ride and everything from booking to picking up was a breeze and so convenient. Highly recommend
Great truck. Has dent on passenger side but other than that fine compared to pics

Amazing. The car was in great conditions, the host was very communicative and explained everything perfectly. Definitely will rent again in the future. Mahalo!

Renting a car at Honolulu International Airport provides the cargo space and versatility needed for island adventures on Oahu. Whether you're transporting surfboards, camping gear, or moving supplies, a rental car offers the functionality that standard vehicles can't match. The elevated driving position also gives you better views of Honolulu's scenic coastal roads and mountain landscapes.
The scenic drive around Oahu's eastern coastline takes you through Kailua and Lanikai beaches, offering stunning ocean views and pristine white sand stops. The North Shore route leads to famous surfing spots like Pipeline and Sunset Beach, passing through charming towns and local food trucks. The windward coast journey showcases dramatic cliffs, tropical valleys, and the iconic Chinaman's Hat island formation.
Take Highway 92 (Nimitz Highway) east from Honolulu airport, which provides a direct route into downtown's business district. This main thoroughfare passes through Kalihi and continues straight to the harbor area and central Honolulu. The route offers easy navigation with clear signage and accommodates larger vehicles like rental cars without difficulty.
Hawaii follows right-hand traffic rules, and the speed limits are generally lower than mainland standards, with most highways capped at 55 mph. Parking in downtown Honolulu requires quarters for meters, and many beach areas have limited spaces that fill quickly during peak hours. Always yield to pedestrians at crosswalks, as Hawaii has strict pedestrian right-of-way laws.
Several gas stations operate along Nimitz Highway between the airport and downtown Honolulu, providing convenient fuel options for your rental vehicle. Additional stations can be found on Keeaumoku Street and King Street as you head toward Waikiki and central Oahu areas. Most stations accept major credit cards and offer both self-service and full-service options.
Hawaii has no toll roads anywhere on Oahu or the other islands, making travel straightforward and budget-friendly for your rental car. All highways, including the major routes like H-1, H-2, and H-3, are free to use regardless of vehicle type. This allows you to explore the entire island of Oahu without worrying about additional road fees or toll charges.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometers you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included." You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.
