My wife, our 9-month-old daughter, and I had one of the most stressful trips we've ever experienced, and I honestly don't know how we would've gotten through it without this host.
When we landed, our Airbnb turned out to be a disaster, my wife ended up in the emergency room, and on top of everything else, I accidentally left the hazard lights on and drained the truck's battery. Later, because of everything going on, we even had issues with the A/C. I felt terrible because it wasn't even the host's fault.
From the very beginning, this host treated us like family instead of just customers. He spent hours on the phone with me walking me through everything, answered every call, checked on us throughout the day, and never made me feel like I was just someone who had damaged his vehicle. Yes, he cared about his truck, but what stood out to me was that he cared even more about my wife, my baby, and making sure we were safe and comfortable.
In a world where it sometimes feels like people only care about getting every dollar they can out of you, this host reminded me that genuinely good people still exist. He was patient, compassionate, understanding, and incredibly accommodating, even while working his own job.
This was, without question, the best Turo host I've ever had. Five stars honestly isn't enough. I would give him 10 out of 5 if I could. When we come back to North Carolina, I won't even look for another vehicle. I'll be looking for his listing first.
