The truck was awesome. It was in a fender-bender before I picked it up and Salvatore gave me a discount because the cruise control was disabled. It was clean and odor-free and a joy to drive. Salvatore was also great to work with and very responsive.

The truck was fine, but I would not rent from this host again. After a 7-day trip, he sent late night (midnight until 2:30am) messages making a bigger issue than expected out of minor cleanliness concerns that falls under general usage for a week long truck rental — crumbs, water marks, etc.
The exchange became oddly personal, and he then tried to get money from me directly instead of handling it through Turo.
That felt inappropriate and uncomfortable.
My advice, take detailed photos before and after the trip and keep everything inside the app if you rent this truck.
It appears Ashley may be retaliating after being addressed about the condition of my truck. It was returned with sticky residue on the doors, crumbs throughout, nail clippings, and a musty odor. I reached out to resolve it, but she minimized the issue and said Turo wouldn’t cover it. To avoid escalation, I left a 4-star review. She then submitted a 1-star review with inaccurate statements, which seems retaliatory.

The truck was amazing, perfectly as advertised. Salvatore was extremely friendly and very accommodating to changing plans. Would highly recommend both the truck and renting from the host.
