We rented a car from Robert. Our trip was from Saturday to Saturday. His rule was you had to have the vehicle back by 10:00 am or you had to pay for another day. We paid for the extra day. He sent instructions for us to pick it up a Diamond Parking and said we could call him and he would pay for the $16-18 parking. No attendant was there and we could only pay with a credit card so we had to pay. Our trip began on Saturday and we were driving from Anchorage to Soldotna. The truck ran well and we had not problems with it. We had emailed Robert before the trip and informed him we would be catching a plane on the next Saturday about 11:30 pm and we wanted to meet him at the airport about 8:00 pm that next Saturday night. We did this because we knew we would have luggage and 250-330 pounds of fish fillets that would be very hard to take care of it we could not be droped off at the airport. We also sent him a text to remind him during the week. Instead of agreeing to meet us at the airport, he gave us an address to meet him--presumably at his home in Anchorage. We texted him a third time, Friday night or Saturday to remind him. When we got to Anchorage, we filled the truck up with gas and ran it through a car wash just to be polite. We then texted him than we would be there to pick him us soon. He immediately texted up back saying he could not meet us and we would have to drop the car off at Diamond parking and catch the shuttle to the airport. He texted that he thought he was going to meet up Monday (even though he had three text messages from up to the contrary!) We therefore had to catch a shuttle with an elderly man driving and handle the luggage and 5 fifty pound fish boxes. I felt Robert never had any intent to meet us and take us to the airport. We make our plans very clear to him 3 times. He should have just met us at the airport or at least met us and drive us to the airport. It was a big hassel!

He changed the pickup location. Truck was a lifesaver though. Clean. We did have to stop and air up the back tire because It was low a few times,
looks like It might need new tires soon. But overall great truck to rent!!

Rented a full size truck for all our luggage and I wasn’t sure what the weather would look like when we were there, so made sure to get something with 4x4/AWD.
The truck was great and worked just fine in what ended up being completely clear weather. But I like the 1500s anyway.
Only real complaint was cleanliness of the vehicle as it was fairly dirty on the outside and interior. We found several things left behind from previous renters like parking passes, toy ring, travel pamphlets, etc. The side mirrors were so gunked up they were near useless in daylight. We were given the truck with only half a tank of gas as well, which was weird to see.

Everything went smoothly and without complications.
The car was in perfect shape and Robert always responded quickly to any messages.

Good truck. Worked well to haul our gear. The cover on the bed is very nice to keep our stuff out of the rain.
