First not-so-great experience with Turo. Picked up the car with a flat tire. The tire and several of the others had very low tread. We only had 4 days to explore the national parks but had to change plans to fit in stopping at a tire shop who pointed out how low the tread was on several tires - couldn’t patch it bc tread was too low - ended up changing the flat one. Spent several days constantly filling the leaking tire.
If this car is used as a rental, especially in a place that requires traveling on unimproved roads to explore the parks, it showed be better maintained ensuring good tread and health of the tires. Low tread makes it more likely to have a puncture/leak/blown tire. Shouldn’t be the renter’s responsibility to replace a tire that should have been replaced several thousand miles ago. Hard to trust this car in light of this experience.
