One of the best things about this car was the location relative to me. It was a quick easy ride on public transport being 2 blocks from a bus stop so no ride share trip necessary which I liked. This '26 Chevy Trax was a cute spiffy little car. Well, not really little. I mean that more figuratively. All of my passengers for the duration of my trip were of the long-legged variety and they all fit fairly comfortably with no complaints. The car was in new condition. Clean pleasant smelling interior (important when dealing with rentals. I've been in some pungent rides). Everything in working order. The host left some refreshments: two bottles of water and a pack of gum. It's things like this that really make the difference. It's a tiny gesture but it really makes your patronage feel appreciated. That was a nice touch and a great way to start off the trip. The car was okay on gas. I mean gas is just expensive right now. There's no way around it at this point unless you're driving an all electric hybrid or one of those cars with an eco setting. I just employ gasbuddy drive for fuel efficiency and do the best I can. The car does have one quirk that I experienced multiple times while driving. When activating the turn signal I must've accidentally kept tripping a switch/button that changed the dash monitor to show car trip information in place of the speedometer. This was a bit inconvenient to deal with as I merged onto or switched lanes on the highway. I couldn't really fiddle with controls to figure out how to switch the screen back while driving in this particular scenario. I figured it out when I was back to local roads and could stop at a stop light but it was a little uncomfortable to have to guess how fast I was driving because I couldn't see the speed I was actually traveling at. I don't know why that is a feature on this car. Trip information is not important for a driver to see and certainly should not be able to block/take precedence over mph information. I consider this a weird design flaw on behalf of Chevrolet. Of course it has nothing to do with the host. Outside of that everything else was good. I just had the vehicle for the day. I had a very important meeting to attend. It was a hot day. AC was good and cold. I got to and from my meeting in comfort with no problem and got to do everything else that I needed to do in terms of errands and all in good time. Marek was a great communicative host. I enjoyed the vehicle. Would definitely rent from him again.
