The Hyundai Tucson was clean, roomy, and equipped with Apple CarPlay, which made for comfortable travels. The car drove well and had plenty of space for our trip. Pick-up was also easy, as the car was just a bus ride away from NYC Port Authority, easy to locate, and the check-in process was smooth.
Our only complaint was that, midway through the trip, the rear tire began showing a low tire pressure warning and the pressure dropped significantly. Fortunately, we never got a flat, but we had to stop multiple times to refill the tire with air, which slowed down our trip and felt unsafe driving in the rain. Each refill also cost at least $3, resulting in unexpected additional expenses. Because the tire issue put us behind schedule, we also looked into extending the trip by a couple of hours. However, based on the listed rate, extending the rental would have cost an additional $257.
However, we overall had a good experience with the car itself and host Ivan.
