Zippy car, fin to drive

This was a 3.5 star experience. Miles and the hosts were great, everything was super smooth. Communication was great. No complaints at all. When the car worked, it’s great too. Can really glide down the road.
The problem is when it doesn’t. Due to technical issues, the car’s sensors and assistance systems sometimes malfunction and beep at you. In perfect weather it doesn’t happen at all, but for my time with the car it was raining constantly. In the rain and at slower speeds the car would beep loudly and consistently and there was no way to turn it off. It became a huge pain. It was a bit of bad luck with the weather, but you should absolutely read up on Fiskers before diving in to this. I hope they are able to update the software, but until then I can’t recommend the car unless you can be certain you won’t have rain.
The Fisker Ocean is a rare vehicle from a manufacturer that is no longer operating, and some software-related alerts can become more noticeable in certain weather conditions. As noted in this review, we are working on installing software updates to improve the experience where possible. Prospective renters should research the vehicle beforehand to make sure it can meet their expectations. Some renters who are not comfortable with driving an Ocean would be better served by a RAV4.
