Car wasn’t where I anticipated. Check engine light was on. There was a leak above the center console so rain was dripping onto the phone charging port

This was my first time using Turo, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The pickup process itself was smooth the host handed me the key, and that part was easy and convenient. We rented the vehicle for prom, so we expected the car to be in great condition and the process to be professional.
However, I ended up having to spend extra money to get the car washed myself, and I still made sure to refill the gas tank before returning it. I dropped the vehicle off yesterday around 11, but the trip still shows that I haven’t been checked out, which is frustrating and unprofessional.
The drop-off process also felt insecure because there was no lockbox or proper return setup. Leaving the vehicle without a secure key drop could have easily resulted in someone taking or damaging the car. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations for a first-time Turo rental.
