I’ve been renting through Turo for over 5 years now, and I have never come across a vehicle this dirty before. I mean dirty from the ceiling of the car to the seat belts and actual seats. The vehicle was also covered in dog hair and what appeared to be dog saliva.
I reached out to the host immediately and sent multiple pictures. Despite the condition shown in the photos, I was told the vehicle had already been vacuumed and cleaned. There was no offer to compensate me or help get the vehicle cleaned, even after I explained that there were no other vehicles available at the time and I had no choice but to keep it.
Because of that, I had to pay out of pocket to get the vehicle deep cleaned myself, which definitely cost a coin. They removed as much dog hair as they could.
So to the host — and whoever rents this vehicle next — you’re welcome for the deep cleaning.
Other than the cleanliness issue, the car did drive smoothly.
P.S. If a rental listing barely shows the inside of the vehicle, there’s usually a reason.
