I strongly recommend AVOIDING this host and choosing another vehicle on Turo. This was by far the WORST experience I’ve had on the platform.
First, the cleanliness of the car was unacceptable. The A/C had a very unpleasant odor that SMELLED LIKE S SWEATY FEET It was especially noticeable when the car had been parked for a while and the A/C was turned back on.
Second, the host appeared to be monitoring the car through the Tesla app, including where I was driving and where I parked, and then referencing my location. I found this extremely uncomfortable and creepy. I understand that hosts may have legitimate access to certain vehicle information, but actively monitoring a guest’s movements during a rental crosses a line for me.
Third, the host was extremely RUDE and unprofessional in normal communication. Instead of simply discussing an issue, the host made hostile assumptions and accused me of “playing games.” I paid for a rental service, not to be insulted by the host. I have used Turo before, and this was easily my worst experience.
Finally, be very careful about the pickup location when booking. This car may appear in your search when you select LAX, but there are other vehicles at a similar price point that are newer and likely offer a much better experience.
My recommendation: avoid this car and this host. There are plenty of other options with cleaner vehicles and more professional, respectful, and friendly hosts.

Please look at all of my other reviews. Then ask yourself is it more likely that I do everything that I can and provide the cleanest possible vehicles to my guests or if I’m a creepy stalker rude host. I wish people could see the pictures that were uploaded for how clean the car was. He played games, trying to twist my words and make me pay for his airport fees. He checked out of the car so I checked the location because he left the AC on and the door’s unlocked.
