This vehicle was amazing the owner was very knowledgeable and patient. We did have an incident with the maintenance but as far as that goes, the Host is definitely recommended again.

Easy pick up and drop off. Convenient for on the go

Overall, the car got me through my trip and drove fine, but there were a few issues that made the rental experience more stressful than it needed to be.

When I picked up the vehicle, I followed the instructions and lot/key code that were texted to me. Later, while I was at work, I received multiple calls and texts telling me I had picked up the wrong car and needed to return it by a certain time, refill the gas back to where it was, and switch into the correct vehicle. Since I had followed the pickup information I was given, this was very inconvenient. If multiple vehicles are being kept at the same pickup location, the key/lot codes need to be clearer or unique so this doesn’t happen.

Once I picked up the correct vehicle, I noticed there was a large hole/worn area in the driver’s-side floor near the gas pedal. My foot would occasionally get caught in it while driving, which I feel should definitely be repaired for safety.

The vehicle also did not have a remote/key fob for unlocking the doors, so I had to manually unlock the driver’s door with the key before unlocking the other doors. Not a huge issue, but definitely inconvenient.

Other than those things, the car drove well and I had a good trip. I just think the pickup process and the driver’s-side flooring need some attention for future renters.

We’re sorry you felt inconvenienced, but we do want to clarify an important part of the pickup situation. The vehicle booked was a Hyundai Kona, but a completely different vehicle—a Kia Sorento in a different color—was taken from the pickup location. Once we became aware of the mix-up, we contacted you so the correct vehicle could be returned and exchanged.

We understand that mistakes can happen, but the vehicles were not similar, and confirming the make, model, and license plate before leaving

Great communication!
