The car smelled of marijuana and it just wouldnt' go away. Imaging to my complete and total horror having my mother, daughter, and my daughter's god parents expressing their concern while sitting in this Traverse! i was completely and totally mortified.
My daughter found the previous renter's feedback and found numerous hosts expressing the previous renter's complete lack of respect for host vehicles. All related to marijuana usage.
I realize the host has no control to stop the renter from disrespecting the rules while the car is in their posession, but there are some things he could have done in addition to apologizing.
1) there could have been a warning that there was an issue and offered me an out from the "no cancel / no refund policy"
2) a token financial restitution for the complete embarrassment i had to deal with.
3) at the very least he could have offered to reimburse the money i spent (about $15 in air fresheners) to make the drive somewhat tolerable.
nothing was forthcoming.

great gas milage for a large SUV! computer showed 29mpg on the highway!
the car was clean inside and out when i picked it up.
and i was more than happy to deliver it the same, plus i left all the air fresheners in there!
