Car quality was ultimately decent. However, there were misrepresentations. There were more miles on the vehicle (over 30k) than the 6k I had anticipated. In addition I was expecting the car to be available at LGA, but had to walk 15-20 minutes outside of the airport with luggage, to find the car on the street, which was not easy to do with a child. In addition the brakes pulsated when slowing from highway speeds leading me to believe that proper maintenance of the vehicle was neglected. These are safety issues.
The communication with the host was great and they were ultimately very responsive. The communication with Turo was terrible and there should be some recourse and compensation when people who book and have a flight delay are ultimately not able to use the vehicle in the expected timeframe. I called Turo and spoke with someone who sounded like they were in another country and didn’t have any reasonable solutions.
